Tell you what Purge. If you ran for president I would vote for you. I'm going to print out your strategy, and after I take some time to meditate on it. I'm going to attempt it. That was very wise advice. I bet if you focused on chess you would be a chessmaster. Well thanks again, and like I said I'm going to try your strategy tonite and post it before bed. So we'll see how much of a comeback I make.

Interesting point of view. I think your right in a lot of ways... I think thats why they join the army (40,000$ yippee), except somewhere down the line (some of them, not all of them) I think they believe they are doing it for the american cause.

I tried playing my first suicidal on a gigantic map, and I'm nearly getting swallowed whole by the other civs. I was just wondering if anybody has come back from a situation like this, and if so how? My galactic map is posted, and right now I have Lasers 2, and Trading Posts economically, regular factories, and I'm surrounded by nuetral, warm, and friendly sims. The drengi and yor are at the bottom. I'm crossing my fingers they destroy each other. <img src="http://img170.imageshack.

I've never had any problem with slowdowns or crashes running a gigantic map. I use to get slowdowns midgame when the AI would stack ships, but they made a beta patch for that. Try getting a 256mb video card, and bumping your virtual memory up.

I would actually suggest making less fantasy games and more sci-fi games. I understand making a fantasy game, but there is a serious amount of competition in that market. Everybody and their brother are making fantasy games. All of the consoles are drowning in rpg's and other fantasy type games. I would stick with what seems to be your fan base... Galactic Civilization. I've seen what you guys did in Sins of a Solar Empire, and it's amazing. I think you would make a fortune if you put tha

I was checking out the High Command Hegemony's Empire records and it doesn't look like the emperor has played in a long time. If thats the case, and he's an inactive player. I would really like to see Wyndstar promoted to emperor. I would join the empire then. As far as I can tell he is leading scores there right now and it's the number one empire right now. Wyndstar posts a lot, and has organized tournaments and stuff. I just figure that since some people are going to play this game and m

Amen brotherton. This topic is a dead horse too. For anyone reading this don't even reply. It would of been fun if I got a better response earlier, but it lost it's last leg. Besides I've seen forums go down hill by the posting of off topics. First someone posts about how Karl Rove is ugly then the next post is some paranoid schizophrenic raving about the Illumanati (or is he a paranoid schizophrenic?) then next thing you know you have spammers advertizing everything from soap making kits t

P.S.S. Lighten up I'm just running a pole. If it offends you politically I'm sorry. I'm not political in the... persay... political sense of the word political. I just noticed that Karl Rove looked like he crawled out of Disturbia. Maybe it's the haircut???

10 Replies 14,395 Views

P.S. I haven't made any political posts. I don't care who's right or who's wrong. It all boils down to history in the making.

10 Replies 14,395 Views

I'm sorry if I ruined your days it is a very difficult problem I understand. I don't care much for the politic's of it if thats what your all worried about. I'm sure people who like Karl Rove can help me out with this as well. I'm just torn on whether he looks like some sort of Hades Nightmare Denizen or a Cannibal Human Underground Dweller in the first stage of toxic sewer poisoning.

Yeah I don't agree with you in the slightest either TOS. I see you on these boards everyday. Why would, out of all the billions of forums and the chatrooms on the internet, you post in the GalCiv 2:Dark Avatar forum twice a day if you thought the game was mediocre. I it was only a mediumish game for you.

I was watching TV when I noticed that the presidential advisor Karl Rove looks like the devil in human form. What I mean is if the devil was ever going to take a human form he would look like Karl Rove. Then I was watching Men in Black II, and I saw aliens in that who looked similar to Karl Rove. So I was going to run a poll or maybe ask KRYO whether Karl Rove is the Master of Evil's Avatar or an Alien?

I have to agree with you vinraith. I also have grown attached to the Korath and Altarian mythos. The Galciv team designed a really good game with great features you don't even see from firaxis. Please keep Galciv going.

I feel very bad for the families (american or any nationality) who have lost relatives in this conflict. I personally would be devastated if I lost my brother, and that loss would sadden me the rest of my natural born life. At what price are they lost? Maybe it's better that a hundred thousand people die today, and the government push laws against freedom like 'The Patriot Act'. So that there will be less losses in the future. Maybe it's like pulling out a piece of glass stu

I very much disagree with the people who say the trading system isn't intelligent. You not only have an a great variety of trade goods, but you also have the diplomatic ability and negotian abilities which increase your chances of getting a good deal. That is creative fellows. I have only ran into two instances where the AI acted wierd on a trade, and that was on the lower levels. The AI bought a technology for a colonization for a world already possessed by someone. It happened to conquer

I really really really hope you read this. I think you guys did an innovative, creative, and amazing job creating a trade system. I would feel proud of yourselves, because no one has done anything similar to what you did. You created a 5 fold trading system, and although there is always going to be a way to cheat any system or AI. You did something that was fun. Don't fall off your pedestal on the trade screen, but pat your own backs. Firaxis with their multimillion dollar budget didn't th

After the peaceful Krynn experienced the horrific genocide of their home ploanets. They moved to strike more remote corners of the Korath's empire. After learning the hard knock lesson of signing a peace treaty with a korath they decided to pay the Korath the same honor. Military research and productiom was put at the forefront of the Krynns infrastructure (who were once a cultural species). A massive full scale attack was made without warnig. Some people believed the Korath we attacked wer

that's 375 points if you want to know. The Krynn held back the Korath assualt for 11 years. Even though the Korath had developed antimatter missiles which were far more powerful than the Krynn's photonic missiles the Krynn held them at bay with their quick manufacturing and logistics. The Krynn was making the vehicles as fast as they exploded. The plague spread to the Krynn's home world in the end, and devoured it's workers until they were forced to put their resources to find a cure. With
