Yes, they only apply to Palestinians, an d yes there are Israeli only roads in the West Bank and Gaza--the reason the Palestinians don't use them--they are not allowed. Well, I'm surprised that the roadblocks are so advanced that they know when it's an Israeli, so they could just let them by without a fuss, or when it's a Palestinian, when they n

Also, understand that this life is a very finite existence. It's our spiritual lives that matter in the end. We'll lost in the details, and not able to see th

The preist didn't have an erection, it was his knee sticking out from under the tunic. If you look at anything long enough, you will probably be able to find something sexual in it. I have the version that still has the phallic symbol and the excited priest on it, and yes, it is an erection. I've never seen a knee rise like that nor does it make

The issue is that cartoon characters are being used to teach tolerance of something that not everyone believes should be tolerated. Oh, I definitely agree. I was just surprised at how so many of these topics are claiming that these groups are calling Sponge Bob gay even though they actually aren't.

Wow! I didn't even realize that they never do actually call Sponge Bob gay, but in fact, that was what was people claimed they said, in an attempt to undermine the point they had (which I'm sure even some non-Christians would agree with, since sexual identity also applies to polygamists, the incestuous, and swingers, and I'm positive that most liberals are not all right with any of those things).

Smoking is wrong, but vodka and other strong liquors (and beer for that matter) aren't, because getting wasted is a good thing.

OMG, you have got to be kidding me!!! Why can't they focus their energy on more important matters? This is probably the same group that accussed Disney of putting the word SEX in the movie Lion King. This post actually changed my mind. It's possible that Sponge Bob might be gay, and much of the cartoon consists of references toward homosex

It's funny, because liberals are offended when people talk about "the left" or "the liberals" and how silly they are, even though the writers never specify all liberals, which means it should not be offensive in any way. Why is that, liberals? Are liberals mentally impaired?

What I see is that if we support the President, even if we disagree with him on some things, that we're supposedly blindly offering our souls to him. Moderateman is right. Bashing America is not dissent nor is it patriotic.

This is a ridiculous point. Have you not heard of the closures, the checkpoints, the roadblocks? Movement between cities in the West Bank is very difficult. Do those checkpoints and roadblocks apply only to the Palestinians, and is there a different road for non-Palestinians to take? If so, why don't they take those ones?

Everybody could spell. Some people just don't take the time to do it, and people who don't take time to do things well won't be as successful life. That's just how life is. I also doubt people commit suicide over being told they can't spell. When I commit suicide, it's going to be over something serious!

and a light little bit of condeming me to the bowels of hell . . . Yes, some Christians do do that, but that doesn't mean that Christianity is supposed to be about that. That'd be like saying that Buddhism is about pompous elitism, because I could definitely say that many Buddhists I've met have been pompous elitists. Same with liberals.

When something good happens or when I accomplish something, who gets the glory? God. I'm supposed to say, "Thank you God. You are so awesome. I didn't deserve this and you did it for me." or "Thank you God. I never could have done this without you. My own abilities are nothing." I abandoned Christianity when I was a teenager. One thing I didn't k

When I turned 21, I looked forward to trying my first alcoholic beverage. Well, I couldn't even finish it, and I'm no longer curious enough to try again. Perhaps you just need to get it out of your system and find out how overrated it all is. It all looks more fun on television. Just don't experiment with the one night stands.

As Gideon points out in this article, I have the right to believe as I do. I am not obligated to reign in other people who fall close to me on the political spectrum. I am no more response for what Michael Moore says or does than the right is for what David Duke says or does. I am not the party and I would argue that politics inside the Washington beltway is very far remov

So? That's not really the point. I don't see why it's the father's decision whether or not to abort. All he did was knock the woman up. There's no real suffering required on his behalf. But the price of pregnancy is quite high, both emotionally and physically. Should people have to experience it for a single mistake? It's nothing like a vasectomy, where the only real effec

I like Sponge Bob. Sure, he acts fruity, but he's not gay. Why else would he be doing panty raids? Sure, I might object to how tolerance usually means "tolerate homosexuals and popular minorities, but F the smaller unrepresented minorities", but there's nothing wrong with the message Sponge Bob and company were trying to promote.

You can talk about the sanctity of human life as much as you like, but a pregnant woman is still carrying a parasite that is fully capable of killing her and everyone she has ever known. If she and/or her partner doesn't raise it right there's no knowing what it could be capable of. That's a big responsibility, and personally I'd rather the incompetent abort rather than le

First off--this article isn't about the Democratic party--it's about your average everyday person with left leaning tendencies. I have a funny feeling Gideon hasn't been lambasted by Barbara Boxer or Hillary Clinton recently. Secondly, for every lefty that you find offensive, I can name a conservative you gets under my skin who is embraced by the Republican party. It's a p

That is not what I said at all. I said, that I use diplomacy and try to be polite but it is not matched. My point is simply do not judge the entire left by the few bad apples--which seems to be a common trend. Maybe people shouldn't judge the entire left by the bad apples, but the problem is that the Democrat Party itself doesn't seem to even wan

So, please, do not pretend that the "browbeating, I'm always right, I listen to no one, and I will not compromise attitude" is a left only trait--you need only meander through the forums on JU to see that that is simply not the case. There's definitely bad apples on both sides, but as long as the left keeps saying: "Oh but they do it too, so no n
