The Stardock Community is not the Blizzard BBS. I've deeply enjoyed these forums for the level of insight and clarity of ideas, mixed with various points of view, and large amount of thought that goes into each and every post. For the past couple of weeks, we've seen more and more mentions of DotA - more so than the previous builds. I'm reminded of how the forum was before the release of Beta 1, when many players had no real idea on how the game played - but felt they had a lot t

Fire-Ice.........what? In every build, all of the mine's Regulus planted were always invisible to the enemy. The only reason why the mines were visible in the screenshot is because that Regulus planted them. You can see what you plant, but no one else can.

I'm going to ask you to please kindly stop posting nonsense Fire-Ice. Your question makes little sense, mainly because you do not explain your random train of thought that no one else can board - and frankly it's clear you have yet to play the game. So what brings about this needless question?
I'm not saying that we need last hitting in Demigod, for one it pretty much requires having a permanent health bar on top off all the grunts, which with the amount of them there are would just be incredibly cluttered.
The option to turn Health Bars on all grunts and targets on the field is already in the game. Pressing the ~ buttom on the far left of your keyboard, beanth the ESC key allows you to cycle through various health

I'm not a big Regulus fan to be honest. ^^ I certainly wouldn't mind having him on the team though, his small stature makes him a very big annoyance because it's so hard to see in the crowd. Sometimes it's just not funny no knowing what killed you until you turn the Camera to see a Regulus hiding behind a Rook.

I imagine a lot of us who have played, are spreading the word and it is paying off. But, keep in mind that even those of us who have played the game - haven't really played the full game, or even a fraction of what the game really is. So do not assume that by

And World of Conflict had a very enjoyable team system. The only reason why I didn't get that game was because I couldn't get it too look good on my computer. Once again, another Computer game abit heavy on the graphics department put me down from buying it.

I;m about to pick up a Wacom Product, but I was considering getting the much larger, vaster tabolet, though doesn't have the direct-to-draw on screen. That is the smallest model of te screens, but is worth the price of $1000. One of my biggest issues right now with computers is that I need to get my eyes further away from the sceen. As much as I'd love to have the draw-on-screen the Cintiq offers - I may have to opt for something for painterly.

I think for this Beta Phase, due to the fact we're doing Skrimish Games, the Favor Points may not be persistant. But then again, I do not know! It's be interesting to see them tracking it, but right now I have a feeling they are mainly focusing on fixing multiplayer and just giving us enough Favor Points to test out things. BTW: Minimap looks real nice.

In my eyes, this game already has a very powerful map editor. It's called Maya, and the maps are rather low in poly but just super enlarged. Actually putting togethert a map in any other system other than a full powered instrustal 3D modeling engine is not possible, for there is nothing simple about the maps themselves. This isn't WarCraft 3 where you add things from a pre-existing library. Keep in mind that there is a very powerful engine tha needs to zoom out to see the entire map at once,

You talk about Last Hitting the hordes, I don't like to call them Creeps to be honest. I highly suggest letting the 'last hit' subject go, because from what I've experienced in the game I don't see any reason to really even bring it up. Play Beta 2, and then bring up discussions of such a nature. Right now it's very hard and very pointless to discuss mechanics of a game you're not even playing.

Rook's stun ball has never been as easy point & click move. It's most risky move in the game, simply because it requires timing as it easy to see coming/avoid. Once a Rook is in the animation, experienced players just move aside (or teleport) and continue hitting him. I've no idea what you're talking right now to be frank. I suggest a discussion on the nature of Demigods in this nature needs to wait until we see the new updates, at the moment it's very premature judging on the lack of con

Check out the stickies in the forum as well to see if the game is really suited for you. Then if you like it, pre-order! Every person who Pre-Orders will get into the next Beta Phase. As C.C you'll be charged when your Beta Account is activated. Unlikely you'll recieve a key or anything in the mail, you just gotta stick around on days of expected release because you'll get everything you need via Impulse, which is required for the Beta Test (and it's getting better every day!).

Indeed, I want to play them all to find their ups and down, perfections and flaws.. but if you really want to know. My key favorites of the Demigod line happen to be Torch Bearer first and foremost, then Oak, and finally Unclean Beast. Sadly, in whatever list I have Sedna is always on the bottom. I've had no contact with her character, and from various videos I was not pleased with her state of Animation. So I've no real clue on how she would perform. Of all the Demigods, she concerns me the

My understanding is that one person's idea simply are not enough to really make something truly fun and ground breaking. This is why I constantly desire to reach out to the community in a constructive way, a way which doesn't say 'No that idea is bad, taken, this one is better' etc. I will once again express my primary focus: I do think about my dad a lot when it comes to playing a game like this online. He's been very, very put off from RTS games because of how quickly they play and

1. Directly quote me insulting the DotA community. 2. I never supplied a very clear illustration of my idea, and for good reason. I would very much like to explain these more clearly, but first I would like those responding to understand I have not, nor did ever intend to insult anyone. That is why I would like someone to point out exactly how my factual statements offend.

Note my views are with the more vast equation of the general public. I try not to judge restricted on just my experiences alone. Battle.net is perfect because it represents a homefront which is comfortable for only few people when compared to the greater whole of the gaming community. Not everyone is as comfortable as someone else. I take many people's viewpoints into a account in my arguements, not just my own. My goal will be, and always is to maximize player base and make a system so comfo

I would highly appreciate it if people would kindly read my comments fully, for I'm not going to defend a clear avenue of misunderstanding. I was pointing out that that I've seen MLG gamers on television looking a little more than heafty, and I was also saying that our society's social structure is contributing to the act of social canabalism . Keep in mind that the small size of the DotA community, not to mention where how many did migrate over from Counterstrike, was a large factor into the contribution of negative behavior in the community. Now, I'm not aiming to insult players, but I never exactly linked a good player to having no life. I mean to give focus to people who may be playing at work, and work all day, and barely have time enough to even think about a game. I come from the gaming industry, and I know very much that man

I would feel that longetivity of the game does into how it is handled outside of the game itself. The multiplay realm and how it is executed plays a large role, and if it is another chat room with lists of game names and automatching ala Battle.net, then likely Demigod is in for a very short lifespan.
