I think I have your problem too. In my Flash 8 I can't see my timeline, layer names, etc. that are in the Flash window. I got around it on my laptop by not skinning it, it took a while, but now that I'm back to using my desktop I can't remember how to get around it. Any ideas on what could be wrong?

On the skins area when I click on Win XP style, normally there are the options to use the skin, etc., however I have none. That happens on that skin and the classic skin as well. I installed and rebooted my laptop, and when it came back up, my computer was skinned in a skin that I never told it to use. So when it booted u
