i had a hard time understanding Daiwa's post... but i think it is what's being talked about, though the screenshot isn't the window im talking about.. (the window im talking about says the computers locked and can only be unlocked by whom who locked it, or an admin, and you cant take a screenshot of that screen)

yea.. while we are on the subject of the theme engine, does windowblinds still theme non-theme aware programs? because it doesn't theme the command prompt like i remember it doing, and when I push Control Alt Delete, and select to Lock my computer (im on a Domain), that isn't themed either, where uxtheme from Microsoft, DOES theme that (but not the command prompt)

dont know, but i really dont want to have to reinstall it again, because i got school work to do now.. but things "seem" to be working.. though i have to say the start menu still lags a little bit when clicked, about half a second, instead of instantly like with uxtheme (700MHz Pentium III laptop)

mine does it if im just at the desktop and keep clicking the start menu.. once it does it for me, it's a permanent thing, and i have to unload WB and reload it.. until it does it again.. i reinstalled my WB by having stardock resend the email.. i don't seen it happening again, but incase it does, i'll let you guys know.. here's the system information now: WindowBlinds 5.1 System Information Report: STATUS : WB+ SRV+ HLP+ UI+ TRAY+ WindowBlinds is

ok, so hopefully it's a widepread problem (im a tech myself, and when i tried multiple computers and all had the same issue, i knew i wasn't crazy) maybe someone will fix it... i just had stardock resend the email, and the downloads EXE stated it was 510_enhanced..

i downloaded my WindowBlinds from that email I got from them when I bought it few months ago... is stardock central a memory hog? this is my school/work laptop, i can't have much taking too much memory on it.. (if it's a run once thing, then im fine with that)

This seems to happen on about every computer I have tried, that has no hardware acceleration, including my laptop.. when i first load a theme, the start menu will show, but later on, it just won't show up, but is there, but with 0% opacity (which is useless).. Does anyone know of a temporary fix?

Cavan1: Windows XP Style, it is default MS in WB skin. download and apply it and then use color change in WB to get whatever colors you want Dont' use that theme.. I did, and it totally confused the heck out of Windows because it uses the same exact name, and Windows wanted to load the msstyle, but it saw this, and it ends up loading corrupted

I have figured out my problem.. it was because of a theme that was a Windows XP Style in WindowBlinds format, and it was confusing Windows on which to load (because the names are exactly the same)... I removed the theme, rebooted, and now the laptop is working fine...

I don't think that would be it, because I bought my copy of WindowBlinds, and I don't have a graphics card affected by it... I'm not on the computer now, but being a tech, I will share all the information about my computer and it's graphics chip that I know... Pentium III 500MHz 256MB RAM Windows XP Pro SP2 NeoMagic 256ZX Graphics (no per-pixel support) This is a laptop btw, an old one.. it's a Dell Latitude CSx

I can't unload Window Blinds at all, it's as if it's insisting to run. Sorry, couldn't make another new thread. Keeps saying there was an error. (this forum needs it's code looked at)... SUBJECT: Dual monitor, different video cards... Is this possible? I plan to use dual monitors on my PC. I use XP, and my main graphics chip supports per-pixel.. the second card, PCI, 8MB VRAM, does NOT... what would happen? would the lowest-link rule happen here?

but mine does it all the time, even if I am not dragging a window around... like, ill be surfing the net, and if a website comes up with that certain color, it'll be transparent..

Zubaz, i believe i am on the sister site (URL says forums.stardock.com), and I was clicking on "Create Post".. I just tried logging off, and back on, to no avail, and on my Macintosh, in Safari (browser), there is no message box, it's just literally not there..

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but why can't I post a new thread? It says i need to enter a post message, but i did.. i set the location, topic, and the message.. firefox and IE are both doing this...

Does your computer support Per-Pixel shading? My laptop doesn't, and has this issue also, so I chose the classic start menu... PS: Don't mean to hijack your thread, but I can't start my own, because I have a problem also.. it keeps saying "Please enter a Post Message before subitting your article.", but i did enter a message, title, and where to post it... argh! using Firefox, and tried IE...

I also am having this problem, and am forced to load a theme that doesn't have any alpha channels in the start menu, or use the classic start button... It only seems to happen on computers I have, that do NOT support per-pixel shading..
