I run Windows prerelease software. I haven't been running many of my Stardock apps because of issues with my video setup and online MMO games but I do run Start 10. Windows has recently started a security system that checks any software being run on the computer and blocks it if it doesn't recognize it (including it's own apps more than not) The system is simple, open the "Ransomware protection" and tell it to let the app through. Except for Object Desktop Manager... You see, each time the ma

Is there a reduced rate price to buy a second seat for Object Desktop or do I have to buy something and get the upgrade? In other words, start over again?

I never had time or desire to try it. I has just been one of those things sitting there and I finally got tired of the Windows noises and decided to try some packages I got. Icon Packager is such fun, I was looking forward to the same with sounds. Nope, moving things don't work. Got a message something like, "Windows is looking for a solution" then it was gone. No solution like it usually does. Has a fatal error in the App Log with nothing I can figure out (

It's me again. This conversation reminds me of how hard my town is on new restaurants. It's not a small town, but not a large town either (15,000) We get a new restaurant in town (not very often) and everyone goes. First few days the food is really good and then the poor restaurant blows it (as happens in nearly every service start-up) So, the bunch of folks who go that day expect the same great service/food as what as been reported. It doesn't matter if they fix it the very next

I can't seem to see a Theme Manager forum. Is the software discontinued? If so, what replaced it? Anyway. Theme Manager depends on several other programs to skin all the parts of the computer. Mine says that it doesn't have LogonStudio. It's been reinstalled multiple times. The version has been changed once. But I cannot get Theme Manager to find it when skinning. A search of the internet shows that this is not a new problem, but nobody offers a working solu

@ Wizard1956 Ah... been updating the old things. EXCEPT IconX says I have the wrong serial number. I've got it in three places, still get the same answer: Wrong number for this version of the software. I never could get WindowBlinds 5 work, WB 7 never even required a reboot (the problem with 5) Just that one software was worth the cost to upgrade. &nbsp

OK, this is relatively newly build Win 7 (64) machine. Last I used Object Desktop was on Win Vista machine (still running) So I don't seem to have the original download of Object Desktop. I have that wonderful list of software I have paid for and all those magic numbers and buttons to click for downloading, Object Desktop among them, but no cute button to click to download same. Ideas? Or do I have to go through every file in the old machine, maybe even find a directory to mov

I hadn't tried to run WindowBlinds for a long time, basically since I got my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 up and running. It refuses to install. I uninstalled the old one (it must have worked some time) deleted the directory, and keep trying. The feedback is "Error:File Not Found". The install I used was fresh just a couple days ago. ObjectDock seems to be working fine, except for me arguing about shell commands (which I'll address on the OD forum)
