By the way, a small recommendation regarding the ship sizes. The Prometheus is not a Huge ship. In fact, it's closer to Medium than anything. A ship that would be classified as "Huge" would be the Excalibur. Just a friendly recommendation

This is exciting. Now to customize the game to make the weapons more accurate to Star Trek ships
Okay. That ship design is incredible. Please please PLEASE upload it somewhere as a downloadable ship. I'm quite fond of the arrow-head design, lol.
I want space monsters LMAO.
Now that's one heck of an interesting glitch...I think I'll try it out now!
From what I've seen, they attack only the fleet and not the starbase. I personally believe the Starbase should be in the battles as well, and when I first saw that they weren't I was very disappointed.
I like this idea of the "Genesis" device as well! In fact, I'd go as far as to say that the Genesis device should be limited to good races, and the Terror Star should be limited to evil races.
I like it. I really really like it. The construction, however, should be limited in its abilities. For one, I like the idea of it having defenses but no weapons. For another, I definitely believe a weapon of that magnitude should be REALLY slow, say, capable of moving only one or two squares per turn. As for what it can destroy, I like this idea of wiping out star systems...but I'm also a super-weapon freak <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Wink.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle"
The ship movement in the game, even with advanced engines, is slow and arduous. This would merely be an extremely advanced alternative to sending fleets of ships across the galaxy in what could take 5 or more turns. In addition, the advantages would not be limited to offensive tactical. You could construct a gate system between you and another civilization as a method of dispatching trade freighters, or between you and an allied civilization this way if an enemy attacks one of you, the other cou
See my thread about Supergates. What you said about everybody building Irises could force all the powers to build a supergate system. Or maybe I'm just obsessed with the concept of Ori supergates. I'd very much like to see the Ori in game, though
Sounds good. Making the gates destructable adds a very serious risk to building a gate system because it's both expensive and easy to lose. And I very much agree with the limit to the size of the ships that could pass through based on the tech level of the builder. So with that said, anybody feeling bored?
Glad to see some positive feedback on this When I say "Stargates," I know that the story of the game mentions stargates as inferior technology that was replaced by hyperdrive. However, when I say stargate I'm referring to the point-to-point ones we see on Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, where the object that goes through one comes out through the other one almost instantaneously. As for th
So yeah, after playing a game on "Large" I found that the galaxies can get quite huge, and I haven't even played bigger maps yet. I'm a big fan of military and conquest, which means that going on to conquer all the planets by traditional military means (in addition to means of influence) can take several hours. So, Instead of having to send fleets of ships across the galaxy--a process that can become annoying--I thought about just assigning a few const
