Would WindowBlinds fully function with Windows Vista Standard (not Aero or Basic) visual style?

Well, will the ones that one made for XP - I'm looking through WinCustomize right now - that have transparency still have transparency with Aero off in Vista?

Hi, I am currently looking to get a laptop with Windows Vista along with Stardock's WindowsBlinds. Does Aero have to be on for WindowBlinds to work? How does battery life on a laptop with WindowBlinds or Aero compare with one another? Thanks.
