Multiplicity contains no way to monitor your connection. Remote Desktop lets you see what you are doing. You can look at our software like this. If you had your laptop sitting next to your desktop monitor with Multiplicity you could just move the mouse right over to the laptop and control it with the same mouse and keyboard you were just using on the main computer. This is all done with the computer being right on the desktop. Having distance will not allow you to see what you are doing.

The Icon Packager troubles and the MyColors bugs are almost semi linked? Did that make sense? Either way we are currently trying to kill two birds with one stone and make everything play nice. It made little sense to have on fix cause a new problem with the corresponding programs. Multiplicity is used to link up computers on one desktop to one keyboard and mouse. It will even allow you to copy and paste between two machines. However what you are describing is just as Zubaz says and sounds more like VPC. However if you use a laptop the same time as you use a desktop often then check out the Multiplicity trial.
Should it be possible to have the version number somewhere in the "About" Window ?
Impulse will display the current version number that is available. You can also get this information on the settings tab under the system information button. It is grouped with the rest of the system info of your install.

A new update/fix has been published for MyColors as of this evening. This is only for those that were experiencing MyColors skinning issues and conflicts with WindowBlinds. No new features have been added. Please go to MyColors > Settings tab > Check for Updates to get the latest fix for the software. If after this you have any troubles please post here or send an email to support@stardock.com. Seabass
