I got the same issue. Sent my error report to support@stardock.com I was just wondering do you also have a lot of labels "string not found" in the galaxy setup? (I crash when I click on 'next') Also one button in the main menu has this 'label'
to answer your question, not a single one here ...

I'll add that even though each race has a major personality trait that defines more or less how they behave the context adds a lot to it... what I mean is it's not because the drengin are evil and trying to enslave the galaxy, that it won't be possible to get friendly with them even though you are good ... Everything is not in stone in galciv2 and your best friend from a game might end up as your worst foe in another ...
...
I agree with parts of this and I'll add that sometimes demos are too much aimed at making a sale .... for example I tried a game several years ago about a flying shooting car in demo version and I nearly bought the game (the game was cheap like 20$) then I realized that the 20 minutes of demo showed 99% of the content of the game (meaning repetitive as hell ...) I think what they meant is that piracy "can't" really be stopped unless some drastic decisions are made... like making a single player game to be online play only (and supporting the server costs for the AI calculations that would have to be made, because of course you won't transfer the exact algorithm to the client, unless you want the protection to be cracked ...) or changing the kind of government for countries where the game is published to a more repressive one ... or as

hello, I don't know whether this is a FF3 bug, or a non WWW compliant IE feature or a problem within your forum or a mix of all that but this kind of post : https://forums.stardock.com/330897/page/1/#reply is too long to be viewed in its integrality. 1. I'm not the kind of guy who use "replayability" very much in this kind of genre so I'll give out what information I have in the kind of games I do, that is : immense maps, slow tech, reduced range (through modding) the whole game is quite long ... so "a few hours" wouldn't be enough at all to win it...which means that the game is totally worth it if like me and others you like long games with giant empires... 2. the editors in themselves aren't that great, th

Suggestions: 1st : is it an old game (from savegame) or new game? if it's old, you might want to try starting out a new game, unfortunately savegames are very often incompatible between different game versions. 2nd : if you got a Mod, uncheck the "Use Mods" checkbox in the game options https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Game_Options (might want to check that out even if you're not sure just in case) 3rd : try

Elemental is not finished so we don't know for sure... plus it's a long time project since they were trying to get the rights of MoM at some point... Anyway Society is way beyond the scope of Elemental, Society being an MMOG, while Elemental being similar in scope as galciv2 except much much improved and with some innovative features like a "spore like" ElementaloPedia (even if they did think about it before spore was even in the works ...)
I don't think there will not be many ties, due to the turn based continuous battles. Since at every moment only one unit will deal damage, as long as it is not hurting itself there won't be ties. The issue in Galciv was that every ship attacked every combat round. So it was possible that they all died in the same round.
well what if there is any kind of lasting damage, like poison ? your last unit is

For me, the "tie rule" introduced in galciv2, which makes the most powerful attack ship win in case of a tie, doesn't make any sense. (even if I can somewhat imagine other reasons why it would have been made like that) So for elemental I suggest a lot more randomness in case of ties, sometimes one can survive but quite frequently both "units" could be destroyed pure and simple. After all why could a ogre die from a sword sank into its heart but still have enough

well I would say at least one other person should confirm this before considering it as an actual bug... you never know if one might not have a corrupt install or anything else somehow ... I don't have 2.0 yet otherwise I would cheat a tech tree, rush build a support starbase by duplicating constructors, and then creating a ship, duplicating it, putting it into starbase range and giving it to an AI, then waiting a turn and check it out.
