160x128 (or 10x8 depending on how you are measuring). Unfortunately the game starts crawling/crashing on these maps once you get into the hundreds of turns.
Personally, allowing players to change some options would be the best solution. For example, I dont care if there are people working in my city. I could simply deactivate that feature and I save memory and threading. While people walking around might be cool and immersive, it is only slightly more so than the looped animations we all know and love. If it comes at the cost of noticeable
Well Stuie, based on the current maps and weapons, there aren't too many tactical choices the AI can make. Even if they do fix the problem where the AI chases a weak unit in circles while your archers kill them, the outcome of the battle is still basically a back and forth slugfest. That's why I feel better terrain and weapon design need to happen at the same time as the AI improvement.
I guess I was thinking that if they had to pick one thing to improve, I would h
Dear Frog, You finally lost me as a customer. I supported your products, I purchased Elemental despite knowing its sorry state from participating in Beta. I supported you because your games were DRM-free. Addition of dial-home DRM, log-in that you can't opt out of to something that previously had none is ultimate breach of Gamers Rights. I will not be buying any of your products, ever again. Fuck
Creating your own items
Item workshop! Any chance this will ever see the light of day? Sure I could muck around in the xml, but if you already have a tool that does it for me...
Very nice. Love all the options. Off to play.... Edit: WOW! This is definitely different. I'm going to have to play with the settings a bunch to figure out what works for me. Really nice job on this cephalo! Your work is very much appreciated!
No. The world is bland, the gameplay quickly becomes repetitive, and the tactical combat AI is just plain awful. Hopefully Fallen Enchantress (which as an "early adopter" you will get for free when it is available) will remedy all this. If you really want to give it a try now, m ods mitigate some of the above. Go to the mod forum and give ACP, Extended Factions and some others a look.
It is already possible to make larger, more interesting tactical maps, although it would be better if the game provided them. But as long as the AI is acting like the women of the Batley Townswomen's Guild, there really is no point - the AI will rush you irregardless of the terrain and start swinging. So I would hope that the AI gets massively improved, and then the rest can/will follow.
No problem. https://forums.elementalgame.com/405107
Good to hear! Thanks for the update - looking forward to this!!
And I suspect the non-stat level up applies to the heroes as well.
That is correct. @ Vallu751 - Thanks for continuing to shine a spotlight on the stat thing. Fixing that really will go a long way to making this a better game.
Quests - can you see what quest details go to what square after you visit it and get the quest to begin with? Thanks.
No. So if you've activated quests from multiple huts and you're not sure which one needs the dead rat you are carrying around, you'll have to visit each one until someone says "Ooh! A dead rat! Thanks, mate."

As the previous poster mentioned, it's a reference to the last mission of Warcraft 3 vanilla, so not related to WoW. Just some good old fashion RTS culture. Regardless, move them custom stuff you want to keep to the Mods folder and it should be safe and still available

They are missing way more points from leveling than from reading.

As said, the scene on the picture rather looks like strategic battle where you put armies against armies (or in this case dragons). I wouldn´t really want that. I think in a strategy game battles have to be "armies against armies", we are not playing
I haven't used a transport in five months. But from what I remember, it's just like selecting and moving specific units out of any other stack or city. You will need to move them onto a beach square (you cannot disembark next to a cliff). If that doesn't help, maybe some more details about the problem you are having would be helpful.
To the world Stardock promotes DRM free gaming, just do a search and you will see multiple results that state this. The problem is, I have come to learn that the games really are not DRM free. Over the weekend I lost my internet connection due to a faulty router. An annoyance, but something I could easily fix on Monday. In the mean time I figured i would play Elemental, and that is where the DRM issues started. I curr
