lol, I picked up on it in the third post
He smiles his enigmatic Altarian smile
Good plot twist, not only interspecies, but same gender too. I wonder what happens in case of a Terran/Altarian war? :P One other question mambaman, with regards to the kid, how? I'm thinking either your going to have Altarians reproducing differently from us, with the males bearing children, or a derivative of cloning, namely inducing meiosis of a m
Mercury is the only naturally Liquid metal at room temperature (that we have discovered).
Mercury is not the only one. Whilst only considered a poor metal, gallium does melt at about ~30C. Which means if you get a piece of solid gallium, it will melt in the palm of your hand. Which is a cool thing if you remember that its a metal :P.
why isn't there a metal that solidifies when extreme heat is applied to it.
In solid state, a metal consis

i remember now, nitrogen hypoxia or somthing like that was killing him, so yea, nitrogen makes it impossible for humans to survive extreme pressures beyond a certain point. Nitrogen only becomes a problem once you start the decompression process. If you do it to fast the nitrogen which is normally and naturally dissolved in your blood comes out of solution in the form nitrogen gas, which leads to pain, lots of pain and the possibly death. If the process

It was just an idea. Could work in principle, and i sure in time McKay would work out the details...if they hang a lemon over his head . On a different note, hurray for the Stargate mod. That is all.

OOOOOOOOO, a dinamo fan . Hmm... A Daedalus with invisible Mark IX torpedoes. Could work... but there's always the risk of a device not going off, and maybe that's why they don't use them. They did lose 2 nukes on 2 wraith cruisers that one time when they managed to stop the

How many times do I have to explain it? Well PaladinStorm, this is the first time I have seen you explain it, and even then, you’re not exactly correct. Redesign and refinement of naval vessels does not involve making large changes to the superstructure. Due to the large number of differences, the Daedalus represents a whole new class. You do hav

PaladinStorm, heres a link u might find useful. If you still think the Prometheus and Daedalus looks the same, consult your local eye specialist. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prometheus_%28Stargate%29 And of course all 304's are going to look the same, its called mass production. If you’re going to build a whole heap of things for the same purpose, what’s the point of making each one different. Not only does i

Can we at least have the ability to form fleets with ships and starbases. As you said Frogboy, Battleships were vulnerable to planes, so you sent your own planes to defend them. Although the shipbourne AA and fighter escorts couldn’t exactly coordinate their efforts effectively, that problem has been solved in the past 60 years, so why should it persist over 200 years from now? Of course, due to their size, the starbases should take up a sizable chunk of any fleets logistics. Perhaps even enough

I agree with DethAdder. I always envisaged starbases as colossal structures dwarfing even the largest of ships, so it doesn’t makes sense them not being able to hold their own against one ship. And of course, forming fleets with starbases is towards the top of most players Christmas wish lists, and with Christmas around the corner, perhaps stardock could deliver . That is all.

I agree, cakewalk got boring after a while i almost gave up playing the game full stop before I remembered to increase the difficulty. Tried the campaign, cant say it appealed to me to much, the story is good, but i take too long to build up, i guess its just me. That is all.

There is a button in the ship upgrade screen in the upper right, juts below the picture of the ship. That is all.

Just now i posted my third metaverse game, again as with my second it was flagged for cheating. However I did not cheat. So what in the world did I do to get flagged for this? I posted both with 1.2 and used a custom race, all mods were turned off. Can someone give me hand with this, cos this is testing my patience. Or will I have to reinstall the entire game to get rid of this problem? That is all.

I too have been pondering about such a game. It would indeed be brilliant, especially if it spanned the entire breadth of human history. Start out researching better clubs for your infantry and eventually move up to muskets and assault rifles. It would have to include a better combat system though, so you could outflank, lay an artillery barrage and use terrain to your advantage. That is all.
