Definetly a bug, I got this one too.

I think I have found some too, hopefully these arent reported yet: bugs? 1. The rotation of hardpoints, while rotating they won´t rotate full circles. 2. Circling hardpoints won´t dissapear from the ship design components box even if you try to delete them. 3. Using software mouse cursor the help pop ups sometimes dont get drawn away and stay on the screen. Should I use hardware mouse? 4. In some
Actually I had a question about the activation. Does activation do something else besides it enables you to download updates? (had slight problems with activation due to two accounts, fixed now) Another guestion, does archiving pack only the game files or does it include your account info as well?
Ok this is how I understanded Brads mail, correct me if Iam wrong. You can have the game on multiple machines but only one can be active at any given time. Does this mean the game logs into your dabase or in some other way connects to internet when the game is booted? Also I understanded this only affects the downloaded version. Does it mean that game installed from CD doesnt check internet connection? Sorr
So many stickyes around that I did not see this one and double posted this one, we shall let that one die quietly It was a good review all in all, there are always lows and downs with reviewers. And I certainly can´t call myself unbiased as a fanatic GC2 fan, I probably cant even see the games flaws <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smile
Spotted this from paradox forums: http://www.pcgameworld.com/reviews/gamereview.php/id/889/ Not a bad score at all, considering the only low aspect they could find was missing Multiplayer game.
Not sure which Iam waiting for more. GalCiv2 or my new Radeon X1900XT card. Probably GalCiv2 Can´t wait to install em both and try GalCiv2 on my projector with 100" screen. My projector lamp is moaning for mercy alrdy But basicly waiting for GalCiv2 has been mostly finger nail eating
Great customer care! The activation worked flawlesly. Now the only problem is how to spend these ~11 hours untill the release
Yes all the other EU releases got delayed too. There is a posting about the situation at paradox galciv2 forums.
Yes I was in the same boat aswell. Waiting for cheap play.com euro release. But now with the date pushed back I immidiately preordered from stardock. Whats eating me at the moment is, that with shipping the games gonna cost me 45.68€. The customs only check out packages that are over 45€ and add 21% tax to it. But what the h*** this is probably the only game Iam gonna buy this year in addition to Oblivion. So I rationalized to myself that i
I have the same issue, although I did change my emails to one singe address before buying GalCiv2 I still get this error. I guess your lucky since I did not even get that auto email you wrote about. But Iam confident the game will work on 21th even without this activation thing. They did say that things will be working even with different emails didin´t they? I pray to god Iam right <b
Thanks for the info, I now remember reading about that here in forums. Sadly my memory is as long as chickens
I got tired of all these delays on European release. I just finished downloading the game files from StarDock and could not be happier Only thing that seemed odd is that I ordered CD version and the shipping costs were 0$ to Finland. Sended email to stardocks sales department, hopefully they fix it soon.
Frogboy/Draginol, any idea when we will be seeing 1.01 patch for box version of the game? I pre-ordered here in europe and will be getting my game at 24th or 27th. Or then again I can download the patched digital version with my ID key right? Iam also curious about StarDocks patching mechanism in general. I jumped the bandwagon with GalCiv2 so I don´t know how often you released a patch or how many for GalCiv1. Do you tend to do couple mega patches or do you release s

I alrdy liked the "hovering" that can be seen on the first video. Little trail behind ships could add some feeling of moving. Good Idea
Not sure if this has been discussed before but this seems like the right topic to ask. Lets say a ship has laser guns in its frontal department pointing forward. In the combat movie does this ship actually turn pointing to the enemy vessel before it fires or can it fire 360 degrees so to speak? Just asking since some screenshots suggest that the ships can fire from what ever angle no matter how they were "designed".
Thanks Darth Griffin for most informal post. This cleared most of my worst expectations about the GalCiv2.
I gotta jump into the bandwagon also, StarDock really is THE best developer out there! Not only you guys support your games to the fullest but you also have good interaction with the community. As a long term Rome Total War fan I have maybe seen 1-2 times a developer writing something in forums. Keep it up StarDock
Multiplayer is nice for some games but Iam glad they wing solo on Galactic Civ 2. I have alrdy spread the GalCiv2 loving to all my friends, so hopefully we get killer (multiplayer) expansion pack in the future
Wow the steel case sounds sweet! Iam glad I pre-ordered from play.com .
If I may answer this one. Because Multiplayer will be added in expansion pack if there is enough demand for it.
As reply to original post I see your point clearly. I kinda ruined Civ4 experience for myself . I read all the guides I could find and pretty soon I was kicking AI around easily. As this was not enought our Multiplayer games became really brutal as everybody perfected their gaming skills. I admit Civ4 was a better game for me before I learned all the trick to win AI. Hopefully this doesn´t happen with GalCiv2
Frogboy, is draft 3 the final version of the manual? Thanks
