Having several hours invested in my first real game, I have come across a couple of areas that are, shall we say, less than stellar. First of all, research/trade A.I. seems to be extremely lacking. I've gotten used to playing with tech trading turned off, because of the way the A.I. traded amongst itself. Has it been tweaked so that it's now worth leaving on?
I just started my first DA game and Yikes! - every habitable planet I've found requires researching something from the colonization branch. Given how expensive those techs seem to be in the early game I have two questions - 1) Am I better off continung to explore with my colony ships hoping to find someplace I can colonize immediately, getting back to the aquatic/barren/etc. planets later and hope they are still available, or park my colony ships there now and start researching, resear
A couple of things the new manual does not make clear: How do you use spies to steal tech or stabilize a planet? I can see how to place a spy on top of an improvement to sabotage it, but that's about it. How exactly does asteroid mining work?
