A couple of things the new manual does not make clear:

How do you use spies to steal tech or stabilize a planet? I can see how to place a spy on top of an improvement to sabotage it, but that's about it.

How exactly does asteroid mining work?

When you place a spy on a planet, it automatically beign s trying to steal tech, and do all that other fun stuff.
