Erathoniel, Good pick. There are several items in the RPG, Strategy, and Adventure categories that I find intriguing. xeriouxi, I use OD with my Steam games too. Usually if you go to the installation directory for the individual games, there is an icon there you can use.
Hm. Yep, If BDBF is right about that being an onboard adapter, it won't really do too many games or much intensive graphics-processing of any kind. So you'd definitely want to look into a discrete graphics card. Anyway, I'll be quiet and let some of the pros like AVMan fill up the rest of this thread. :)
If it's pre-built, you probably don't need to worry too much about the power supply; the manufacturer is not likely going to put together a set of components that won't work with one another. However, it may be important if you choose to upgrade your video card. Jouketje is right: the 256MB 8400 will let you play most games out there on the market with no trouble, but for super-graphically intensive games like Crysis and other bleeding-edge titles, you may only be able to run at minimal settings

Well, I have a silly question: do WinStep and WindowBlinds work together harmoniously? In other words, if I'm running WinStep will by NextStart menu be skinned to look like the current 'blind I have running? Glad to read about the MyColors discounts. I'm still wondering about whether MyColors is intended to ultimately replace ThemeManager or not? Reading between the lines of everything I've seen about OD08 and also the fact that the new site link labelled "Premium Suites" takes you to the MyColors website leads me to think that Stardock is abandoning the old .suite files in favor of .theme packages and will henceforth be producing .themes exclusively. Hm. I had trouble installing updates yesterday. Impulse updated itself and when I tried to update to the latest DesktopX, it downloaded the files, declared that it was installing the update and sat for over an hour. The same thing happened when I tried to update ThemeManager. :(
