Actually, yes. First, I discovered that the new license I bought doesn't have the same OD key as my original Object Desktop applications. When I tried the new key that came with my purchase, yesterday, I got the same error message about being active on another computer. As a wild shot in the dark, I did a reboot, then reinstalled WindowsFx from the download link that came in my purchase email and tried to log in to get the password. That didn't work, so I used the license key from that email,

I already asked this question last week. Received a reply to go to My Downloads, manage keys, delete all computers I'm not using. I deleted at least 8 computers to which I no longer have access . So, given the inexpensive fee, I simply bought a new license. Doesn't matter! Still get the active on a different computer message! Please fix this, or let me know how to fix it. Thank you. Randy

I had several Stardock Object Desktop applications (especially Multiplicity) running on my two computers at work. I left that position in August, 2018, and thought I had removed/deactivated everything on those two machines. I am now trying to install WindowsFX, along with the rest of the Object Desktop suite, on my new laptop. Everything installed, and accepted my using my Stardock account for activation. EXCEPT WindowsFX. It keeps telling me I have too many activat

I did the purge, and a reboot (better safe than sorry), on both machines. I then installed on the primary machine, and configured (encryption key, passcode, etc.). Using the physically same executable, I installed on the secondary machine, and did the minor configuration. It worked! And has continued to work through several reboots of my primary machine (I'm a developer and reboots seem to be part of the game). Hope this helps.

Sorry, know this is an old thread, but damn-it all, this is a real problem. I have a laptop as my primary computer, and an old desktop as my secondary (old meaning two years, maybe). I have entered the same passcode in each, I installed Multiplicity on both computers from the single file I downloaded -- i.e. no mismatched version issue. This is just stoopit! Oh, FWIW, I can ping each computer from the other using both the IP and the computer network names. Please t

Using Impuse, on a WinXP machine, I can't install Virtual Desktops. I either get an error that the file was longer than expected, or about half the file downloads then quits, with no error, and simply shows VD as available. As I said elsewhere, SVD is (IMHO) just about the best part of OD. Thanks! Randy

I heartily agree with the other folks here, SVD is probably the best thing among the Object Desktop apps! I can't imagine how SD came to the conclusion that there was little interest in it. I suspect that if SD polled its clients, they'd find many, many, people bought OD primarily because of SVD. I suppose there might not have been all that much interest in it as a stand-alone, but I'm sure it was a big driver of OD sales. My $0.02

I don't remember when I first bought MP but it's been several years. Only problem I've had until now had to do with company network security policies (I'm a contractor so I've used MP on a number of different machine/protocol/net-hardware configurations -- also at home.) At my current assignment, I first installed MP on the laptop (actually, simply a function of having installed SD there first before I got a second machine). Later, the company gave me a desktop too and I installed it as the seco
