I found my own answer! After trying multiple installs/uninstalls via Impulse, I went to stardock.com and downloaded the Public version, so I had a local setup file. I ran the setup manually and installed the public version, configured for secondary, and rebooted. Ran Impulse after the restart, and upgraded to the Pro edition I've paid for, and then restarted again. I now have mouse control of my secondary box again! Not sure if the base install being done by something other th

Hello, I have a primary x64 machine and a secondary x64 machine. The connection is established between the two, but as soon as I try to remote control the secondary the connection drops and i lose control of the mouse for a couple of seconds. This worked just great when I had primary x64, secondary x32. When the mouse comes back it is only on the Primary. I cannot remote control the secondary at all. This is with the December update on both machines. Any pointers? Than

Hello, Now that Win2008 has been released is there an update pending for it's support as both a Host and a Guest OS in Multiplicity? The main webpage shows only XP/Vista/2003 support, hence the question :-). Thank you, Dominic

I repeated my test of uninstall, reboot, install works, a couple of times as I had an OS patch to install. Works like a charm everytime although I would consider this a right royal pain just to restore connectivity to my secondary machine on a regular basis. Probably doesn't do the OS much good either having an app installed/uninstalled all the time either. The log entry might be misleading as I could only see it once despite the several installs/uninstalls performed. <a href="https://w

Okay I rebooted and sure enough the Primary remains disconnected from the Secondary post reboot. I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, Ran application when prompted, configured it using the stored settings, and bingo the connection to the secondary was established. So the problem is something breaks with a reboot on the primary. I finally found an error in the System log which I believe occurs just after the reboot,"The Stardock Multiplicity service failed to start due to the following error: <b

I found the message in my Junk folder . I received the initial ticket open message without a problem though. I actually managed to get it working again. The problem doesn't appear to have been with the secondary despite the troubleshooting errors being reported only on the secondary. I had reinstalled the secondary, messed around with various options on the primary, add/remove client, change location on the wr

Yes I tried the logout and login trick, and this time troubleshooting on secondary has 3 green/white tick marks instead of 1 and the error about Winlogon DLL. However it makes no difference to actual connectivity with the primary.Cheers,

As an addendum, using the troubleshooting on the Primary succeeds without issue. On the secondary it reports Multiplicity WinLogon dll is NOT running.I scanned the other posts here but there was nothing I could find related to this specific issue and Multiplicity Pro. I have no other Stardock apps, besides Stardock Central, installed on this machine. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/sd/SDC24.g

Hello,I had multiplicity working just fine prior to the 1.2 release. I have two Vista machines, one x64, primary, and one x32, secondary. No matter what I try firewall wise, recreating passwords etc, the Primary never connects to the Secondary. When you setup the Primary so it knows who the secondaries are the connect does find the secondary but alas no connection ever takes place after that. It's been like this for a while now just hadn't gotten around to asking for help! I do have a MS Intelli

I had researched the Ion II engine so designed a new Colony ship incorporating the new engine. I clicked Save and nothing happened. When i clicked Done, the new design was not saved. After exiting the design screen I came across the save dialog box prompting me to save the design. on clicking yes, the game crashed to desktop. I guess this might be covered by the know 12 issues...

Simcountry.com is a pure text play as far as I can tell via a browser. No fancy graphics but you can run a country (highish level), run an Enterprise Holding company with lots of subsiduaries or both. The Country side you have to look after, schools, hospitals, transportation (roads, rail water treatment), armies (offensive, defensive and strategic i.e. nuclear) and whilst you are at it, make money from the State run corporations or the visi

Hello, Unfortunately I only have Vista x64 with an LDDM driver, ATI X850XT 256MB with ATI Beta 1 Vista LDDM driver. I read the readme and understand the existing StyleVista is only for x32 platforms. I tried it anyway on x64 and whilst it runs there was no noticable difference to the display. The display flickers after clicking apply but that was it. Any chance of an x64 version? <img src="smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 AL

Hello, This is a step in the right direction. For the first time since the betas started by laptop will at least start the intro. woohoo, unfortunatley it still crashes: Faulting application polmachine.exe, version 1.0.0.1, faulting module polmachine.exe, version 1.0.0.1, fault address 0x000a98a5. I can play it on my AMD64 so it is presumably something to do with the 16MB Video Board on the laptop?? Radio icons don't

Beta 2 also caused a complete hardware lockup on a different machine. I had to power off the system. I launched the game chose options, reduced the sound volume and clicked Resume Game and that was all she wrote. I could still move the mouse but the keyboard was hosed and there was no changes to graphics or anything else. Nothing was clickable nada

Beta 2 doesn't start on my laptop (galciv works). Toshiba T9000, 16Mb Video, 512Mb RAM, WinXP Pro SP2, fails on launch with a General Protection fault. Appver:1.0.0.1 modname:polmachine.exe offset: 000a2935. I have DX9 installed but the video ram is only 16Mb. I've also tried it with the nointro paramater on the command line. No joy.
