The Dark Avatar preorders haven't been charged. However, anyone who submits a preorder is going to see a hold on the funds for the transaction for a brief time. This is the bank or credit card company authorizing the transaction. We haven't collected the money, and the hold is released after a period of time. The charge should show as pending, and your funding institution can confirm that we haven't taken the money from your account. Pl

I share your hatred of shopping, but for some different reasons. But I'm going to continue to compliment you when I feel like it. I don't care what you say.

Thanks for the article. It raised a few questions for me. Can female friendships with males produce the same effect on the female? Maybe that was answered in the article and I didn't pick it up. Do bad friendships with other females (or others if the answer to the above is Yes) have a more negative effect on females than the corresponding situation would on a male? Personally, I'm always drunk - with friends or otherwise. I find i

I suspect Eidolonsfury was right. It sounds like your security settings were set too high, or some issue wih cookies. The PayPal button should have directed you to PayPal.com to pay through PayPal. Email sales@stardock.com if you have further problems.

Can you email sales@stardock.com with your information and I will look into this and correct it for you? The webstore has a checkbox for "this purchase is for another user," or something to that effect. If not checked, all of your previous accounts will likely transfer over to the new user information.

We have had some orders delayed due to overwhelming demand for the game, and we recently switched to a new shipping system, but all orders to date have been fulfilled. Please email Email if you have not received your order so that we can take a closer look at your order. Thanks, Kim

Hi Pampas. You have not been charged for this order if you received this error code. Do you think being closer with your dad than your mom has affected your relationships with women? I feel very fortunate to not have had to make such a choice. I do, to a degree. I am very close with my few female friends, but I've never been part of the streotypical circle of "the girls" that I think

My mother and I have always gotten along, but we aren't very close. I think a large part of that is due to the private nature that we both share. My parents divorced when I was nine, and my older sister and I both felt very strongly about choosing to live with our dad. He and I have always been close, and he's one of my best friends. My dad remarried when I was 18, and my step-mother has two daughters of her own. It took my step-mother and I

I couldn't agree more. If my boyfriend comes home from work in a bad mood, it doesn't take long for me to come down too. On the flip side, I've noticed how much I can affect the people around me if I'm in a good mood. Unfortunately, it still doesn't stop me from being a crab some days.

>>But does anyone else feel a little overwhelmed trying to keep everyone happy during the holidays? Every year! My parents have been divorced almost forever, so my sister and I end up doing double duty over the Holidays. My poor niece barely gets to enjoy her presents at one get together before being wisked off to another. My boyfriend is very patient, does his best to attend as much of our craziness as he can, and some Holidays we just

I chose this title because I think "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder is one of the best songs ever recorded. That being said, this tune has been popping into my head more and more recently, as I notice how superstitious I've become. I never considered myself a superstitious person. I don't hesitate to walk under ladders (if safe), and I hope black cats cros

Mmm, Kudos... Thanks again ladies. I think I'm the one who needed to be told that writing a book is such hard work! I've learned my lesson for now. Oh well. Those who can do, those who can't (or won't) read. Next up is "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides.

It's true. But I did get further than last year. Actually, I falsely started about 5 different novels, or pieces, at any rate. Most recently, I decided my novel would be about a bar I once frequented and the characters I encountered there. This Saturday, I met Elaine, my good friend and partner in crime from those days, for lunch to discu

The store does not allow PayPal for orders using coupons (likely you're taking advantage of an upgrade offer that was emailed to you?). Email sales@stardock.com to see if other arrangements can be made.

I saw Shopgirl in Birmingham, which I guess is more by me than you Don't worry about seeing it though, despite all the buzz. I guess you could classify Party Girl as a comedy. It's more just fun. Do you have a VCR? I could loan it to you.

For once, I did not get sucked into any Lifetime movies this weekend, but dusted off my VCR and enjoyed some old tapes while prepping the house for company. Friday night: Party Girl (1995) starring Parker Posey. This might be my favorite movie. If favorite means I can pop it in and enjoy it any time, regardless of when I last watched it. It's whimsical.<B

Thanks for the ideas. I'm thinking of somehow incorporating the deadline into my story, like making the book self-aware. It might not be so fluid, but it'll be on my mind anyway. I'll check out that link, Cordelia - thanks for adding that. Zoomba (and Cordelia), you're obviously more serious about writing than I am. I can totally dig that. It would make a lot more sense to devote time to plot, character, theme, etc. But I know if I don't

Thanks for the encouragement, guys. Tova and Cari, you're right. Not everything has to be a means to an end, or ending, in this case. It's just overcoming my laziness at this point. I totally appreciate your opinions. Cordelia, anything I write would certainly be better served by some preplanning, but diving right in like this removes any pressure to perform. I'm currently enjoying "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the

It's here again. I believe it was this time last year that Rob blew my mind with the prospect of writing a 50,000 work novel in the month of November (I mean right before Christmas??!! - as if there's any better time). We both punked out and it's been on the back burner all year, until the topic came up again last weekend. So, should I write a nove
