For whatever reason, it doesn't work for internet shortcuts. I Googled and found others recommending this as well (so I know it must work), but it doesn't work for me. Maybe, thats why it appears that I am the only one having this problem with IP returning the arrows and the INI file to the desktop....strange!! One of life's little annoyances I guess I must live with[e digicons]:pout:[/e] Thanks for the tip...one to keep.

Snowman...thanks for the tip. It works on Explorer icons perfectly,but it leaves IE shortcuts unchanged (I know I am nitpicking here[e digicons]:omg:[/e] ). I am curious if this happens to other Vista users using IP.

I only recently switched to Vista (Home Premium) from my old XP box. I have noticed something that happens when you switch icon packages in Vista that never happened in XP.....the shortcut arrow (that I prefer to remove from the desktop icons) reappears on every package change. I searched for this problem but didn't get any results. Is this happening to others, or just me? This is not a huge headache, but still a bit of an annoyance.
