A little bit late but hapy Birthday, hope you had tons of fun!

Happy Birthday Jafo!! Enjoy your day
Yes I see, it will be good for when I want the font of it to be different than the rest of the logon's text.
Do you happen to know where I could change the font of the 'Turn Off Computer' text? I changed all other text to the font I want except this one Shelbygt told me to add this line: fontface: rcstr(2); to the shut down options section in uifile, this way it gets whatever font i set in t
Thanks a lot for making this tutorial and I'm sure it will come handy once i practice it a little P/s- Do you happen to know where I could change the font of the 'Turn Off Computer' text? I changed all other text to the font I want except this one
LOL tri1ogy Thanks Sphynx, am just working on one a member specifically asked for, we'll see how it goes
Welcome back home then Shelbygt does help me work with the uifile better so I get to learn new things each time. but before I continue with that, I still have the 'pleasure' of reinstalling the remaining programs (reinstalled windows). fun fun fun
Ofcourse there's always more to learn and I certainly dont know everything there needs to know about the uifile and I will learn as I go, I just meant that for these specific logons I just did, I like how it turned out. I'm sure I can learn a lot from Sphynx as well, there's always something to learn I think. Will catch you online later on
lol yes we do There's also another way to have the 1x1 Bitmap_128 and the box around it. simply making the box on the background (bitmap_100) as part of it. and since you have the scrollers working, the user accounts will never exit the box frame/limitation Bye and have fun <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 ALI
If it was a solid colour I would have done it differently but I needed to match the background image exactly.
Sorry, didn't quite get the question. if you're asking if Bitmap_128 was cut from Bitmap_100 than yes, I cut the portion I wanted and then did the box effect on it. the idea was that the user accounts will be inside the box thing in the end.
Yes it is The problem was that it even though it showed it is 32bit, it didnt fully fuctioned as one. you see, I usually use PSP and I created the image but since PSP cant save as 32bit, I then had to open the image in PhotoShop and save as 32bit. still no idea why it does that but I guess its because it was originally created in PSP. But Shelbygt & Bo
Thanks, I will e-mail you now And thanks a lot Cavan1 and The Sphynx for the help
Aren't you talking about this lines in theme.ini: ; The bitmaps will have the number 200+Numb (es bitmap_114 is number 1 and will be referenced as 2001 in UIFILE.txt, bitmap_131 numb 8 will be 2008 etc.) [MoreBitmaps] 5=Bitmap_128.bmp it was pasted from the theme.ini file and it does say that in the uifile it will be referred to as 2005 I was basing this logon on 'Tiger' by Boss019 so this line w
At least thats one reason to rule out Its probably something else in the 128 bitmap that causes it, I don't know Maybe the size of the scrollers dont match?! than again the error did say something wrong in line 40 which is the splash line.
I take it then, there are no more changes to make other than these two splash lines. These are the bitmap files of the logon I'm having problems with, as well as uifile and theme.ini, maybe it will be easier to see what went wrong. maybe its the size of Bitmap_128 or maybe the dpi matter?! Link
The only thing I see in theme.ini thats related, is this part in [MoreBitmaps] section: 5=Bitmap_128.bmp which says 128 bmp will be reffered to as 2005 in uifile but dont see anything else really. If you're talking about this part near the end in the uifile: ----> Than I did change the height and
Hi, I'm looking at some logons like this one: https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=4894&LibID=26 that use Bitmap_128. I know in the uifile this part controls it: element [id=atom(splash)] { background: rcbmp(2005,7,#FF00FF,643rp,588rp,0,0); The only difference I see between the logons that use Bitmap_128, is the height and width parts (643rp, 588rp) - so I tried to put the height and width
Thanks Boss019, I think I will take you up on your offer and contact you, hopefully in time with your guiding I will get this coding thing
Thanks for the links pictoratus, unfortunately it looks a bit complicated to mess with the uifile.txt file As for making the bitmaps look invisible, I did try the 1x1 bitmpas with #RRGGBB colour and yes, it made the shut down button invisible but didnt do the same with the password box (Bitmap_112). Bitmap_112 was visible and in pink. What I also
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to make those transparent boxes with the passwords and shut down option in the middle of the screen like here: http://boss019.wincustomize.com/viewskin.aspx?skinid=4832&libid=26&comments=1&SID=5484&UID=2135778 and if its hard to do? I would like to move the options (shut down, passwords etc) from thier default locations but not sure how to make it like this logon. any ideas?
Quite cool, Thanks!
Hi Jafo Sleeping Dragon and Cavan1 were a big help with the 'holes'/distortions and the bottom part issues I've been having, and now I'm quite happy with the logons I created.
Wow it really works! I did try it 2 days ago but I think my mistake was that I didnt set it to strech which is why the line between the two images was visible but this really worked, Thank you so much!
Yes, but setting the height to 0 indeed loose the bottom panel as well as the turn off PC button and text on the right. I'm trying to loose the bottom panel but still keep the botton and text.
