When I apply a skin I created, it will appear when I start up, however when it passes beyond that it freezes. Why is this? What can I do? Please help! Please? Tell me what to do. No referals please they are down.

Hello I just downloaded bootskin, I made a load screen but when I close Bootskin the screen goes back to the drab, bland XP screen. What can I do? Also, In the config file what does it mean by type= ? Please help me, any is appreciated.
