Quoting realraven2000, reply 37 So where do I get the previous version to test whether this is a regression in 1.49.1? This is the last build of 1.48. Try it (uninstall \ reinstall) and let us know if you still see the issue: <a href="https://

Ok, one more correction, it actually happens also right from the start - we had a power cut this morning and I got the last notification of this thread this morning. So I had no previous explorer windows stored and opened a few (auto-grouping enabled) and the flashing happens right away. I am using Windows aero (the glassy style of Windows 7).. So where do I get the previous version to test whether this is a regression in 1.49.1?
Are you using any other monitor software like DisplayFusion? If so, and you turn it off, does it still happen? no I am not using any special display software here... I am using this machine (i7) for development mainly but it used to be an Audio DAW too (Cubase Pro 10) - but now my i9 is my main rigg for audio. I don't use capturing software or nvidia play stuff (not sure what it's called) or anything that I am aware of...
Sure thing. Here are two windows one with a single Explorer and one with tabs. when I click between the windows there is no problem but when I change to a tab it "blinks". It always takes a little while (using windows for a few hours) when I notice, but I can try reproducing it with a fresh boot. https://drive.google.com/file/d/14VTCO4KIrISTQUYBxiUzODCqvn2RiXE7/view?usp=sharing &nb
Since the last update (1.49.1) I experience "black screen blinking" on my Windows 7 a lot. I have 2 WHQD screens attached and sometimes a screen will go black for a short while when I switch between apps. But I can 100% reproduce the problem if I switch between different tabs in windows explorer. If I switch between 2 different explorer windows, I experience a short screen blackout of about 100-300ms on the active screen, sometimes longer. I have a fairly fast modern graphics card (nVidia GeF
The correct way would have been (IMO) a versioned KB with either a completely new version number or (if it doesn't break their naming conventions() something like KB3097877.1 - fixes the issues introduced by previous version pack. They would even have the comfort of fixing further problems with a KB3097877.2 There is a reason why there are (ascending) version numbers in "old school" software.
Came back from work, new Windows Security Update for Windows 7 (KB3097877), it fixed the ObjectDock and Windows gadget problem.
Here is one thing I absolutely do not understand. Why does an experienced Software company like Microsoft release 2 different pieces of software under the absolute same name? As a professional user I cannot take the risk and have disabled KB3097877 permanently. They should not expect a
Ok, I followed some of the steps given here. Interestingly my fences log is > 50MBytes compressed. Fences seemed to have an issue for a while now that sometimes infinitely duplicated desektop icons and made every window based on explorer (including task manager) with a list of stuff in it useless. My usual resolve of this was to log off and log on again as killing processes with process manager never resolved the situation (My guess is another GDI problem caused by a MS patch) Anyw
To back up your ObjectDock 2 settings, you can simply save the settings files: http://sd.stardock.com/Rosco/pics/od2_save_settings.png
That is an interesting screenshot. what application are you running there, I do not recognize it? I too have the problem of O-Dock constantly crashing for the last 2 days (Windows 7 Pro 64bit)
ONe of the most annoying and long standing bugs I have with fences is that it will remove any icon from its fence if I have fences hidden (double clicked desktop) when I right click it. This does not happen if I use the "context menu" keyboard key for the same command. it is quite an annoying bug. I usually have to double-click my desktop and unhide anything before I dare to right-click any desktop icon. I wish they had fixed it in version 2! Axel <
>> FF is so buggy I have trouble understanding why people have so much biased pride about it.... You can skin it? [e digicons]O:)[/e] buggy: can't really see that actually using FX since version 1.5. The current one (3.04) is very stable. I am always amazed on how different pages look on IE. I was on my friends computer looking at youtube and asked him "what's this?" He said - "oh that. That's an advertisement". [e digicons]}:)[/e] So used to see clean pages!
