I can't get the newest build to work with Vista 64. Is this a known issue and if so any eta on when it will be fixed.
Rob, It does work for me on Ultimate 64. I did not do anything special. Just installed it and it worked. The only problem I have is the painting of submenus mentioned in another post.
Neil, here is some more info that may or may not help. I have the same problem. The only difference is I'm using a MS mouse with the default Vista drivers. It did this to me on XP also. If you set the Snap To in control panel, to automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box it moves the poiner to the, Reset to default button on the custom color screen when you try to change the colors. Hope this helps.
No problem, thanks for the quick response.
That is what I did, but it only says vista compatible. This is why I'm confused on which one's it works with. So I can only guess that if it says vista compatible it means 32 bit and it will show 64 bit compatibility added in the history when its added. Is this correct?
A little confused. When an application like DX or OB say they are vista compatible, does this mean 32 bit, 64 bit or will it work on either. One last thought, when the updates are made would it be possible to include this information in the history?
Whatever you did in the new verison of VD it has fixed this problem. Thanks Neil. Great Job.
Did a little more checking this morning before going to work will check more later tonight but this appears to only happen when windows animation is used. All other settings working great.
This problem still exist for me with the current build.
Update, did some more checking and this only happens with skins using alpha blending.
No I'm not using that option.

I'm having a similiar problem which only started happening with WB500[b].06. What happens is when I start my computer it loads the normal XP taskbar and there is no windowblinds tray icon, however if I log off and back on WB loads normal. Have done all the normal uninstall, reboot, install, reboot and it still does the same thing. Anyone have any suggestions. Dan Boldon
Just installed the new beta, same problem here only 3 desktops Max.
Thanks for all the input, I appreciate it. I will do some more research before I make a final decision. Thank you. Dan Boldon
Thanks for the info, I am an Intel fan but leaning more towards the AMD due to the fact it does out perform the P4 and upgradeability. I don't need it now, but if I wanted to move to a dual core processor AMD only requires a new processor and bios upgrade were the intel will need a whole new mb. The AMD's do run cooler and out perform Intel. Any other thoughts, experiences, or things I should be aware of. Dan Boldon
I need some advice on a new system, I am looking at 2 different systems. Then main difference is between the CPU and which way to go. AMD or Intel. I have doen some research on which direction each company is heading and cant decide on which way I want to go. I would like to hear some opinions on the 2 below specs and which direction would be the best way to go. I do very little gaming and I'm getting ready to get back into design
/me starts looking over my shoulder, in dark corners; as I work on my new skin.
You guys are killing me, how did I end up in the middle of this.
