Well, that's annoying. For some reason, my carefully crafted tabbed dock sitting on the right of the monitor has disappeared and all I have is the default dock sitting at the bottom. Which I didn't have set up. Any clues as to how this might have happened and if it's recoverable (no, I don't have a backup of the configuration 😢)?

Following on from this old post, is there any thought of adding bounce/zoom/etc. effects to start11?
Excluding ApplicationFrameHost.exe did the trick, thanks. I had tried excluding SystemSettings.exe but that wasn't enough.
That does indeed take me to the Applications folder, but there seems no way to get the selection of Settings through to WB. It opens a separate explorer window, which doesn't seem to have any way to communicate with WB.
According to Windows, the Settings app is "SystemSettings.exe", but when I try to exclude this from WindowsBlinds, the exclusion is ignored. This makes it almost impossible to use the Search function as this is covered by the WB title bar.
I just tried to install with OD running as Administrator and got the same error. However, this time I clicked "Ignore" rather than "Abort" or "Retry" when I got the error, and the install seems to have worked. Everything I have tried so far has been OK
This reads like a permissions issue or AV software stopping the process. If you open a Windows Sandbox , are you able to install on it?
I'll try that when I get a chance. I doubt it's permission or AV, though, as this doesn't impact any other Stardock software, and I assume they
Got this error on installing Connection Explorer:

No, I turned off tabbing for Explorer. The native tabbing doesn't get a look in with QTTabBar enabled, and I put explorer.exe in the Blocked list
It has so many other useful features, other than just tab handling, that I'd be very reluctant to drop it. To be honest, I'd rather lose Groupy than QTTabBar. If I get a chance, I might remove it and see what happens, but I'm pretty busy, so that might not happen for a while, if at all.
And another one, also with eM Client. Reminders are pop-ups, and these get treated by Groupy as windows and become tabbed. However, they seem to have a maximum height (though not width), so the entire window, with all tabs, gets restricted to that height. When the notification is dismissed, the window stays at that height.
Another oddity. I use the QTTabBar extension for explorer.exe because I prefer its tab handling and flexibility over the native product. Because of this, I have blocked explorer.exe in Groupy. One of QTTabBar's settings is to capture additional explorer windows as they are launched and add these to the current window as tabs. This does not always work with Groupy enabled. It seems to be OK if I launch Explorer directly, but not if I launch it from within another application. Also, the seconda
After installing Groupy 2.3, I tried it out on eM Client, opening the main mail window and the calendar window. Great, it puts them into one window with two tabs. Okay, go and do some tasks in a browser, then press Alt-Tab to return to eM Client. Ah - it's not showing in the Alt-Tab list. But it is in the taskbar. With Word, on the other hand, if I open several files, it displays the different tabs separately in the Alt-Tab list. The behaviour above is if I open the Calendar window fr
I suspect this is not Stardock issue, but Fastspring, though it affects Stardock. I tried to access my subscriptions through https://stardock.onfastspring.com/kdts/account , where I enter my email and get sent a link. Guess where, the link sends me? Top points if you guessed https://stardock.onfastspring.com/kdts/account
I would love to replace the taskbar with an Object Dock dock, but until it can support Notifications and the System Tray, it's a non-starter. Incidentally, looking for this, I found a page that says neither Windows 10 nor Windows 11 is supported. I'm happily using OD on Win 11.
Well, this is weird. For no reason I can put my finger on, DS is now working correctly. Hmm.
Rereading your finding, I think there is something stopping Deskscape. Please try cleanboot and see if there is something interfering with Deskscape. https://forums.stardock.com/485954/deskscapes-support-faq#cleanboot . Do follow these steps with care. This may be one that you don't want to fix. If you install Explorer Patcher, it initially seems that there is no way to get to its Properties menu with Start 11 in use. Of course, many of its tweaks are also available in Start11, but some are not. Without Start11 installed, if you install EP, you get a Properties option when you right-click the taskbar. With Start11 in use, this item does not appear. However, there is a workaround as Explorer Patcher (Properties) does appear in the Start Menu
I changed my PC a couple of months ago and I'm honestly not sure whether the issue started happening straight away or later. I don't usually notice as I run most windows full screen. No, it happens on all those I have tried - about a dozen so far, from different authors.
Still getting the freeze. Slightly different effects for a playlist and a single Dream. With the playlist, I get a blank screen, with a single Dream, it freezes. In both cases, when I go into the Deskscapes configuration, it says that I don't have any applied backgrounds. I can't help but feel that this last is the key... When I check while the Dream is playing, it correctly identifies the background.
Not showing as available for me either in Object Desktop or update check in Start, which is at 2.49.1
Some issues similar (maybe the same) as others have reported for the vertical taskbar: Intermittent: Some icons for pinned apps seem to have slid up the taskbar and don't appear Some apps don't respect the taskbar when maximized and overlap (or more strictly underlay) it. I would expect that for full-screen, but not maximized. I often end up with too many app icons and no way in W11 to access those it hides. I know this is a W11 problem, not Start11, but is
Hmm, spoke too soon. After a reboot I have the same issue again. I noticed this post on ASUS, and, as I have a Zenbook, I thought I'd investigate. No joy. Next, I tried disabling "Process video automatically" in system settings, as that seemed to make no difference to what I saw. No joy. A couple of oddities: Despite what I said above, a
