looking forward to it!

Think a simple idea would to be able to have the ability to request or demand a certain action/item For instance torians are picking on a minor race that you like, your on good terms with torians so you request they stop attacking them, maybe offer incentive or Your race is more powerful than torians and your not on good terms so you demand they stop attacking. If they don't you can issue ultimatum, if they still say no you can beat them to death
just wish I'd thought of it in time so it could be implemented
Do you have a date for when it will be in stores yet?
I just thought of an idea what do you think I've always found alliances quite annoying as you can get dragged into wars that you don't want to be in, and I find defensive alliances not much fun so I thought of this idea. Keep defensive alliances as they are, but if you are on really good terms with another race you could form a full alliance. In a full alliance you are obliged to help defend your ally if he is attacked, but also if one of the allies wishes to att
If your playing the drengin, the more worlds you conquer, the more happier your citizens should be as the meat of other races can be spread amongst the population as a fine delicasy, especially human mmm

It would be fitting for each torian to have a drengin slave for each household
Thats the best idea ive heard in ages. I should have thought of it damn it! Best thing bout it is that it doesn't effect the balance too much and wont take much AI writing. Think its a bit too late for release though, but maybe in expansion? (please!)
The Civ 4 tech tree is way too fast and getting new techs is absurdly fast, even on epic turns. Hurrah for Gal Civ 2 for making tech rate a user setting Thats my biggest annoyance in 4X games, when you build an army send it to an opponents territory and by the time it gets there the units are obselete. In 4X games that has a length of gameplay
Give uglycow a job at stardock and she can make the coffee
Better to live on the street as if I don't pay tax I'm spared being slaughtered Sorry for being arkward
I agree! my friends hate these type of games so AI is more conveniant anyway
Haven't heard anyone from stardock touch this subject with a 10 foot pole. Must mean their working on it am sure they'll overcome it
Well if were doing a poll. If GC2 had multiplayer I would never use it as I never play games online as I prefer to play against AI so I can play a long epic game in my own time and be able to take a 30 minute break if my son starts crying or im hungry
Ive gotta defend RTW its awesome
I suppose if we actually got it all we would do is complain about it
I would like to have it in a galciv game, but I don't expect to see it until galciv 3 at the earliest. And thats if a lot of people want it in the game
I think thats stretching it a little
Its not what he says its the way he says it
I agree I thought the planetary invasions were the weakest part of GC1 and its disappointing that it is the same in GC2 when they have improved so much in other areas
Don't give up that easy! If you think this feature would be good you can fine tune your idea and they might put it in the expansion pack. Thats what this forum is for, new ideas!
wow!! that sounds like a very emotional reaction to something really insignificant. How do you react to something that really p*sses you off
With uninhabitable planets you should be able to build missile silos (or something similar) which adds to the defensive capabilities to the planets and ships in that system. Just a little addition that would add strategic value to uninhabitable worlds IMO
Theres a difference between using two nuclear weapons as a demostration of power to stop a world war and invading a star system and slaughtering every man woman and child in a population of 35 billion
