the question you have to ask is will the investment in implementing such a thing reflect the benefits?

I'm glad I live in UK, sounds like too much of a hassle
a demo wont have all the fancy features that make the game great so people might be put off by it
compared to the grossly unneccesary depth of moo3 galciv1 is like a paddling pool. It took me about a day 2 get the full swing of gc1, but even after months you still pick up on new things, which is good in my opinion
bloody hell!! easy!
Realism and games do not go well together usually. I can think of loads of games where this isn't true! Theres Elite 2, umm... fifa, ummm..... pong?.... thats bout it
Well the strategy map is meant to be just that a map. Although a nice pretty 3D one. It is realistic! imagine your the ruler of your race and your at a desk with a 3D map in front of you and your giving orders through it. there ya go!
Ive got some ideas but im gonna wait till ive played the game first to see how well they can be implemented
I've been really looking forward to this game for best part of a year now, and although I'm really looking forward to it I realise that I am not as fanatical as some of you guys So I was wondering what plans you have on release day e.g unplug the phone, phone in sick for work, quit work, split with girlfriend etc. Think i'll say to my fiancee that we need some time apart! about 3 weeks then i'll be able to start resuming my life in a limited sense! <img src="http://image
Maybe if you fine tuned your ideas slightly for instance with supernovas its increadibly annoying that your best system is destroed for no reason like on moo2. So when you explore a new planet a popup can come up that says 'our scientists have concluded that this star will no nova in approx 25 turns, but there are super minerals on the planet that will boost productivity by 500%' So I would be quuite content to colonise the planet for a short time to get the production bonus. <
bump
why are you telling us this? do you sell them?
Would you want to share planets? Don't know if that would make the game more fun or annoying
Hmm. That seems ok. I was hoping there would be more options but IT IS a space game. Well the developers say it's more like civ in space rather than a tactics based game so I think the planetary populations structure/invasion system should be more in depth and complex. Anyway this was done to death in a previous post so the dev's kno
sounds like big star trekky type ships. Can you save battles?
really no terror stars? didn't know that. Why aren't they in gc2?
thats fairly big
Arctic Monkeys! The Killers! Franz Ferdinand! woo! Im a student can you tell?
I raved and ranted about civ4 for ages I was so annoyed that it was so full of problems. But the other day a bought a 3.8ghz pc and now ive shut up as the problems seem to have gone away
If galciv was turn based it would be unrecognisable and a totally different game altogether. Im not a fan of TBS as with games such as age of empires, star trek armada and command and conquer it ends up as build as many units as you can and herd them all at the enemy. I don't see much 'strategy' involved. Though the real time elements in rome total war are tip top!
I dont think they'll be able to program the AI to cope with rotating planets when the game is going gold in about 72 hours. Might be asking a bit too much
Hey Stardock continually update thier games so why not. I would like to see it implemented. When I get new games I listen to the in-game music for a few days then put my own music on
Or 2k Games! Who else can we diss?
As someone who does not have the beta can anyone answer this for me? In previous games I never really bother with espionage at all, but judging from some posts it seems that it is going to be a more important factor in this game, with certain tech knowledge etc. So could anyone tell me if theres a big difference in espionage with this game? Cheers!
you learn something new every day
