All good suggestions, and yes I tried those. The enable pointer shadow provides the default shadow but CursorFx adjustment doesn't function. Again, just an FYI, on my other PC which gets the usual Win updates everything works as it should. And I'm perfectly fine with things as they are. Dev updates can have affects such as these, I expect things will work again in a subsequent update. This thread can be closed.

I have one of my PCs set to receive Dev updates and noticed the latest one, build 26080.ge-release.240308-1400 breaks the application of shadows in CursorFX. Notice for this particular cursor it also affects its appearance. Not an issue for me, just thought I would pass along. Hopefully, in the next Win update it will be working normally.

FYI, I have the exact same issue. Changing the start button doesn't help. I'm on Windows Insider version so, may be a conflict with that. Not a big deal, probably another update will fix.
I am sorry to derail the thread but now with the good news of WB 10 released and working with Windows 10, is there any chance that we will see Icon Packager being compatible with Windows 10 soon too? That other app is all I need to be in my happy computing / desktop customizing place again like I did on Win 7 But yeah, good job to the devs. I've always liked Stardock and their creations and even have a couple of their games on Steam too
Not to be a contrarian but I'm o

Thank you, yes, I know about the toggle between default cursor/CursorFx but it doesn't help. Sometimes the cursor will simply freeze on the screen so a re-start of the program is the only way to bring it back. On the login screen (picture) I can see where it is after I click, it's just not visible. Once I login using a password the cursor is visible on the desktop. A reboot or re-start will fix the problem for a while but it eventually recurs.

With the latest update for Windows 10 I'm having quite a few instances of freezing/disappearing cursors. The workaround is ctrl-alt-del to task manager, shut down CursorFx, browse to program and re-start. Also, it will disappear on login screen necessitating a keyboard login vs. picture. Not a huge deal, just wanted to put it out there. Hopefully, this can be fixed in next update. Thanks.

I have similar issue after latest Windows Update. Applying/starting up with WindowBlinds causes my screen to flash and alternate between the desktop and the tile (Metro) interface. I'm using the latest 8.5 version of WindowBlinds. Only able to use PC if default skin is used or WB disabled. Hope you find a fix soon.

The "Allocate room for at least" minimum appears to be about 8 icons now even if you set to one or zero. I'm using version 1.4 of Start8 on Win 8.1.

I'm trying to resolve issue of blank icons in stack docklet. They worked fine in XP SP3 but since upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit I am getting only generic icons. I have tried clearing icon cache but does not resolve issue. I have read it may be related to permissions/multiple user issue in Win 7? Using search function I found post from last year that possible solution is to remove registry key - "Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shellex\iconhandler". What is the best way to r
