I'm having trouble with Impulse. Impulse is causing an abend when I boot, and won't run. I tried to do a repair install, and an install with new options, but both failed with the following problem: setsdaff has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvienence. The install proceeds after this message, but hangs. So I did an uninstall, which worked. I then did a fresh install and got the probl
If you are using the OD Ultimate Serial number you found in your Impulse Registartions with your current email id for Stardock.net to register IconDeveloper SKS Pro then that is correct. Since that isn't working for you then you need to contact support@stardock.com and explain the problem you're having with these products failing to activate. They'll have to research why it's failing.
Thanks. Would you mind clearly sta
Try looking at your product registrations in Impulse to find your current OD serial number. You can also find your registartions on the WC Home Page in Settings (near your login).
Thanks, I am using the info from the Impulse registration page. Still no luck. I can tell you that my serial starts SU- , mught that be an issue? Mind you, I'm using the serial for Object Desktop Ultimate, as I get

I can't run IconDeveloper or SkinStudio 6 Pro. It asks for email and serial to activate (they both did install). I give it my ObjectDesktop Ultimate serial and email associated with it, but it gets an activation error. Could this be because my serial number is so old? I originally got ObjectDesktop many, many years ago, and the serial number is not at all like the newer numbers Stardock uses.

Thanks again.
I hope this post answers BigDog too Ya, it does. Since I recommended Icon Packager to you I thought I should pass this along. I've seen mixed reviews regarding Icon Packager with Vista Ultimate 64 bit installs. Some users have reported numerous icons being changed to the generic unknown file type icon(blank page image) and not being able to correct the problem. I don't have the OS, I use X
The System Tray Icon problem is something that just happen. Seems it has hit everyone. ObjectDock Plus and Object Desktop Ultimate are two very different producits. I use both, ObjecDock Plus for the docks, which allow me to have a very clean desktop and Object Desktop Ultimate which provides many different tools to change and enhance the desktop environment. Oh, and yes you are missing alot. EDIT: I s

I have both ObjectDock Plus and Object Desktop Ultimate. I've been using just ObjectDock Plus and only Drive Scan from Object Desktop Ultimate. But now, as I posted earlier today, I'm have troubles with ObjectDock Plus. So, I'm wondering, am I missing anything by not really using Object Desktop Ultimate? Does it give me anything that makes Object Dock Plus unneccesary? Should I simply use more of Object Desktop Ultimate? I really like Object Dock Plus, but

Well, I've been using OD Plus for a while now, and really enjoying it. However, this morning I boot to Vista Ultimate 64 bit with SP1 and suddenly no more sys tray icons? I've read plenty of posts for other folks problems, but nothing works or fits. Any ideas? Again, they were there for weeks, but now they aren't. If I can't get the icons to appear I might as well go back to using the Windows Taskbar...

I didn't realize it addressed the beta as well. Thanks.
This is for those who don't want to use the latest Alpha/Beta to get the functionality and are willing to wait (like me ). So you are aware there are multiple fixes for Object Dock contained in the current beta. The start menu docklet works for most users with the beta. I would advise trying the beta before making adjustments to the program. This is not a slight against herodaddy in any way. I am just bringing up the po
Object Dock does support Vista 64bit in the Plus version only. The start menu issue is a known issue that is being worked on but should be included in the 2.0 update. The reason for the "but" is that the 2.0 has no real written-in-stone eta. If you used the free version and then installed the Plus version over top of it you are likely having conflicts.
So, when was the last time Stardock gave an update regarding the 2.0 update?

I'd like to add a suggestion. How about you let users adjust the size of tray icons separately? Tray icons on my setup are mostly quite ugly as they are stretched too much. I've noticed tray icons in the Windows Taskbar appear to be smaller than the Quick Launch icons. I personally don't need these icons to be large at all, and I don't need them to have any effects. I too am looking for the tray icons to work properly. For now I just leave the Windo
