And offcource we need INDIVIDUAL Icon sizing for instance of a more important or less important object!! And the double click on the desktop NEEDS to be customizable atleast. Since it already "owned" by the best software IMHO Directory Opus! Other than that no need for nothing but optimization :)
Increasing your WEI score will not help with enabling WB per pixel. Either your hardware has WDDM drivers or it does not. Without WDDM drivers WindowBlinds will not do per pixel on Vista.
Ok thanks Neil for the heads up. I know there is a issue with Vista. But I thought you would have gotten around that on Stardock. I have a 915GMA wich is a known card that does actually fully work with Vista Aero glass. The ONLY thing holding thi
Hi again, I am using the "new" vista startmenu so not because of the classic for me. I have found some pages on hacking the Windows Experience Index. I have removed it so i will have to get it back to see if it will work. Here is a hacking page: http://www.petri.co.il/artificially_raise_wei.htm Kind regards: Fredrik W
Hi Mave, The link you provided me was for making a start menu? I don't see how that applies to us? Kind regards Fredrik W
Hi everybody, I'm having the exact same issue! I'm getting transparency and everything is working GREAT in WinXP. But this annoying issue is just with Vista. Why is this 100% bound to the vista scoreboard? I know this is working since it working on XP. There must be some reg hack to force this over the vista score. I'm getting like 0.1 points from using it i think. My machine: HP NC4200 2 GB RAM Pentium M 1.87 GHZ "WindowBlinds version : W
Forget about it all and thanks anyway.. went back to WinXP.. Regards F
Sounds exactly like my issue except I’m not using the trial edition;)..
The genuine and registered enhanced version with all the bells and whistles but not as of yet
Is there some Vista betas i could try that would solve this issue? My guess is its just some kinda locking somewhere.. like Raider 66 sugested.. Regards F
I use Vlite to strip the OS of all the things i don’t use. Like Aero. My Graphcard in my laptop doesn’t support it. And since I got blinds.. Who needs it at all:)? Laptop information: HP Compaq NC4200 520MB Ram Shared memory Intel 915GM HAVE run it so I know it SHOULD work! But something denies me the blinds experience;) Regards F
Hi Raider 66! Thank you for your reply. I think you might be on to something here. If I try to recall I think the issue started when I tried to activate Aero. I have removed the windows Aero from my system so there might be a conflict there? But I KNOW that it SHOULD work anyway! Since I got it to work with at least two skins before this happened.. I tried to activate the Aero in blinds ( Blinds exits) and then restarted again to activate another. Still no success... <
no aps not responding in my taskmannager.. everything looks and feels responsive.. no lockups..
*heh* didnt know that! works also with the button "apply my changes" but its much better the one you reffer to:) But its the same story im affraid as before.. No change.. no skining...
Hi I I’m a long time fan of Stardocks Work. The thing is I just switched to Windows Vista and having problems with windowblinds.. When I first installed it I could apply a skin. But when I choose the third skin it will not apply! It SEEMS like it does but after it says wait like it usually do after you apply a skin nothing happens. It just looks the same as before applying the skin. I have to restart the computer in order to make it "apply" again, if I don’t nothing happens
