The Far North in Blogging JoeUser Forums

Here are some photos of our recent holiday. We went to Far North Queensland (FNQ - yes, they really do write it like that). This area is a tropical paradise. It is also where I was born and spent the first part of my life. I haven't been back to the area for about 30 years, so this was a sort of homecoming for me. I used to have a job, as a teen, mowing the biggest patch of lawn you've ever seen. Consequently, mowing and I parted ways a long time ago. Excellent article, mate. Australia too is cursed with a two party system where the lines are now so blurred, policies are almost interchangable between the two. It is beyond a joke. Politics no longer is about the people but, as you suggest, about party affiliations. I would love to come over to Blogspot but for some reason, can't access the site at work. Being the eldest of 5 children, I know exactly what you mean about using your children for domestic maintenance. I was trained to wash and hang clothes, prepare meals for 7, vacuum, sweep, make beds, dust and polish all before I was 12 years old. Besides, you only have then for the first 20 or so years so you might as well take advantage and use them while they're around :LOL:
