Hey, very cool short, this. Good to see you writing fiction. More please! [e digicons]:)[/e]

Ah Tonya, I'm playing catch up with this battle. I don't know what to say except I'm going to keep you in my thoughts. You are a beautiful lady and you will beat this.
Wow, I don’t log on to JU for a few days and look what I miss. Nitro, I appreciate your comments although I don’t agree w
Chris, I am humbled, again, by your words of support. Thanks heaps, mate, these mean a lot to me. I am glad this makes you appreciate what you have.
Thanks very much, Chris. You are always so supportive. Much appreciated... :)
Nitro,
I do have a bed, just not the luxury to stay in it.
I guess the difference between you and I is that I don't see peaceful protesting as a luxury, I see it as a right for a person living in a democratic nation. And your current administration is so new, I have to wonder why some aren't giving him a go before putting shit on him. But such is human nature I guess.
Hey Chris, good to see you mate. Peace does come with a price, don't you know? ;)
Of course, being a male, I suspect it might be slightly more traumatic for you to do. LOL.
 Yeah, the biggest hitch for us blokes is actually falling pregnant
Nitro, I'm not suggesting you follow John and Yoko and stay in a fancy hotel. You do own a bed, don't you?
Ah come on, its not so bad. I actually look forward DST because it means I can get home and enjoy my garden more than I can in winter. Here in Australia, the changeover occurs on a weekend, overnight between Saturday and Sunday. It is relatively easy and doesn't cause much hassle to anyone. As to whether it actually aids anyone (shop owners, farmers etc) well I don't know about that. I'm sure for every 'oh no, this sucks' story there are also plenty of folk who a
Wow, I am so glad I don't have to go through this. I don't think I would be able to write about it with such passion and humour as you have here. Dahlia sounds like a wonderful addition to your already-gorgeous family. Congratulations again and good to see you :)
Tex, first of all, so good to 'see' you here. I've been meaning to email you and the family to find out how you're all going. I saw your blog on the birth of Dahlia but haven't had a chance to read it or respond yet.
Great blog. I love the idea and wish it was getting more attention.
Thank you very much. Given that this has been a side-project for my friend, who is a very busy man (he works a full time job, organises an unsigne
In March 1969, John Lennon and Yoko Ono went conducted the world’s first bed-in for peace. On the 40 th anniversary of this event, I take to my bed for the same reasons. Unfortunately, nothing much in the world has changed. In fact, there is a lot more to be disappointed about when it comes to world peace. Indeed, if John Lennon were still alive, he might well be in a righteous rage because of all the trouble in the world today. But let’s not
Oh well, I kind of figured this might be coming soon enough. I'm glad you've found a new home and I will be heading there regularly to catch up with you. Of course, I have your email address as well, so you'll never be rid of me... bwaaahahaha... cough... ahahahaha...
Wow, I'm kicking myself I didn't see this when you first posted it. While being a big fan of George Romero (I think he is one of the most important film makers of our time - his ability to use the horror medium as a way to discuss societal problems is nothing short of genius) I am also very much an advocate for sustainable living. I am as much into my 'things' as the next person, but refuse to be 'told' I 'need' to have something. As you suggest, the only 'needs' I have are
I would go nuts in a regular 9-5 gig now.
As would I... oh, wait a minute, I DO work a 9 to 5. Probably explains why I'm loopy [e digicons][/e]
I've never really been much of a one night stand kinda guy anyway.
Nor I. More of a 'get to know them, romance them then get dumped before I get any' kind of guy
See, this is why I couldn't do your job. Being away from home for so long would drive me batty. I love my home, the comfort of my 'things' (yes, I am a bit of a homebody). Glad to hear you're doing alright and due a break soon. And your sensibilities when it comes to the fairer sex are to be admired. :)
This has to be one of the most hilarious things I've read in ages, Zoo. Thanks for the laugh, mate. I still don't understand why anyone would think Chuck Norris or anyone of his ilk would make a better leader than someone like Obama (or even Bush, for that matter).
Thanks mate. Now, where is my glass of non-fat dairy-flavoured soy alternative to milk?
As you probably know, Toni and I decided not to have kids (for lots of reasons I'm sure you've read before). We made the decision based on manner factors we exhaustedly discussed. I'm sure Chris and you would make wonderful parents but don't let others decide when the right time is for you. As for JoeUser, well you can tell my interaction has decreased from what it used to be. This is for the reasons you have postulated here and for other reasons as well.
Hmm, I'd like to vote for chocolate chip cookies as well, but probably should go witht eh oatmeal raisin ones. But I'd happily carry the plate across the road :D
Thanks, mate. :)
Tonya, I am a romantic too. More often than not, my poetry ends up being, in some way, about my other half. It is because she continues to inspire me. Thanks for reading and glad you enjoyed this one. Roy, thanks mate. And I'm pleased I was able to give you a laugh.
I am not a circus I don’t possess three rings Although sometimes Sawdust clouds my thoughts I am not a multiplex With mega-surround sound All one would hear Would be tinnitus feedback I am not street I don’t mime, balance or juggle Although occasionally It would appear as though I try What I am is music Acoustic and low As heard in a quiet bar After a filling meal What I am is a small stage
When I woke up this morning, I couldn't find my happy trousers so I had to put on my grumpy pants instead. I didn't want to put them on, They're scratchy and itchy And make me cranky. When I got to my desk, The first that happened is I was attacked, Mercilessly and ruthlessly, by work. It didn't let up until I finished it off With a couple of phones calls, And judicious use of a red pen. However, my pants were still grumpy<br /
