The settings of ObjectDock are stored in separate files in one folder/Directory. To back up your ObjectDock 2 settings, you can simply save the settings files: http://sd.stardock.com/Rosco/pics/od2_save_settings.png (C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Local\Stardock\ObjectDockPlus) To restore your settings, just put your backed up files into that folder, and you'll be good to go.
MyColors totally hosed my system, had to remove it. It does not play well with the current version of windowblinds, for starters. Had to reinstall that too.
MyColors was designed to run without any other Stardock products. And as it gets older (without updates) incompatibilities will only increase. Hopefully will have some word on Wednesday.
Thank you all for your help. Supposing I purchase ObjectDock, first (I don't want that limitation of the free version), is it simple to integrate it with the rest of the suite, afterwards?
ObjectDock does not integrate. It's a stand-alone application. It will not conflict though.

We have released 2.10 and that should address some of the issues. Registrations and download links can be accessed by logging in with a Stardock account at https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products or installing through Stardock Central (currently in beta but available at https://www.stardock.com/products/stardockcentral/ ).
I am having this same problem and posted it to another thread. No fix was found on this in November 2012. It is now April 2013. Would reinstalling help? This is a paid copy of the program running on Windows 7. The screen display is the same as piotrpasierowski above. Thanks.
Responded to your other post.
y i loved that it was free - do yu want to know what this does it causes people to either keep using the free one (security flaws) or to torrent it so in actual fact its the companies causing illegal downloads
It also converts many people to purchase the newer, better version and provides them with support. More so, it allows Stardock to invest the profit in development and support.
Now, with that said, I will ask you directly "What is the maximum install/reinstall limit for Start8 on a single PC?
You can find the EULA in the install directory. Typically C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start8 or C:\Program Files\Stardock\Start8 We feel our policy allows for clients to activate the software a reasonable number of times over a specific time span to take into account testing, reformattin
