Sadly I do not believe that the two systems can or will coexist like you describe.

You want to select license key as neither DeskScapes nor Fences is actually available through Steam.

If it is only some applications that are crashing, make sure to tell support which ones they are (and letting them know which one do work might be useful too). Please include the path to the EXEs for the crashtastic links.

Could you perhaps create and post a video somewhere and link it here so we can see what you are trying to do?

That is not an option with Fences at this time.

Right click on an empty part of the desktop Select View Uncheck "Lock Fences"

Every application or some? If some, which ones don't work?

Right-click on empty desktop and see if it's there. "Lock fences" will not display in the view menu from the titlebar. (We are going to try to improve the user experience of menus and the config in future versions. Fences grew organically over time and features could use some consolidation and optimization.)

The key part in my reply was "in the same way". I'll make sure the devs are aware that this is a things we can improve on.
