With custom open and close animations no matter which, the shadows always blink when opening new windows that are not maximized. As well with system shadows or using ShadowFX so it has nothing to do with the latter. GPU is NVIDIA GTX760, CPU 3.4 Quad, Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit.
It's in Spanish or like there of. A Stardock tech should be able to help him. Don't make fun.
Make sure shadows for windows are turned on. Go to Control Panel (legacy) System and Security, System, in the left navigation pane click on Advanced system settings... Then click settings under Performance (Visual Effects, processor, scheduling, etc.) and make sure "Show shadows under windows" is checked. If that is turned off, ShadowFX does not work. If it's still not working, is your OS using DWM? It will be listed in Task Manager under Process
You're right I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote my op but nonetheless this one issue is the culprit for now. Thank you for investigating.
Nope, this is still an issue.
Odd. I even re-installed it and set open/close animations all to Default. I guess it's just me because it's me.
Since the most recent update to Windows 10 this is causing an extremely large number of issues. Anyone running it should know. Specifically when closing any program that's an app, such as Weather, Email, Settings, Microsoft Edge... it blinks. As if to close, very quickly bounces back and then closes again. The only workaround is to for now, go into Advanced Settings and uncheck Show animation when minimizing/maximizing windows but this then disables other already built in animations that
Oh finally the little line that kept appearing next to the start button if using a custom theme and the task view and Cortana buttons are hidden is fixed. That was bugging me so much! Thanks!
Is there any further development for WindowFX? I love the program. It works flawlessly on my system but lacks in certain areas, specifically more choices for animations and compatibility, such as with programs like iTunes.
Request to allow users or program Start8 to alphabetize the Places Locations on the Right side of the original W7 start menu. When a user customizes this with their own locations mixed with default locations (like Videos, downloads, etc.) they're not alphabetized. Aesthetically and efficiently this would make sense as it is how a person reads through and identifies items in the appropriate manner. All misplaced and random is not efficient. Just a suggestion.
Would it be possible to provide an option to hide the word "Start" on the Metro screen? Truthfully, it's tacky looking. Obviously we know we're on the "Start" screen. And where it is could be the Clock perhaps. Or just nothing at all. But yes, I really dislike the word "Start" all up in there taking up space. It's gaudy.
This is a great idea as I was just thinking that it would be nice to have the time on the Start Screen. However, it appears not much thought was put into this. Come on Stardock, we know you can do better. 1. Give users the option to choose between 24 hour or 12 hour. 2. Give users the option to choose size, color and location as some peoples backgrounds (if a busy one or really light colored one) may not blend well with the utter small'
I really dislike the wobble effect and/or various slide in from random point effect. I would like to see just a general slide in/slide out animation from either left, right, top or bottom for both the Start Menu and Menu options. Then the animations would be consistent with the other animations you can set for windows opening, closing, minimizing and restoring. Honestly, the same animations should be available globally for ALL the options rather than some that are not, for one thing,
Fade in/out Option for Start Menu and Menus; Menu animations affect calendar and volume window, close settings in Menu bind to Start Menu close settings. Like opening and closing windows Basic Fade In, it would be nice if users had the same option to choose for the Start Menu and Menus. And when you set the menu option to an animation, it affects the Calendar and Volume window as well (when you click on it once in the lower right corner). Also, whatever the close animation speed is se
This worked. Thank you very much.
I tried that already too. Nothing has worked. It's crazy. But I'm going to try to install WB 5 and then see if I can upgrade it after I activate it.
The information on Wincustomize is no different than the email from Support at Stardock. I will just have to either go with WB 5 for now, and wait til I get a reply from sales@stardock. Or maybe I can install WB 5 first, activate that then upgrade it? Hmm.. I will try that.
Well I installed SDC and tried as well, and again has not worked. :( I will go to WinCustomize and see if there's more information there like you said. In the meantime I've emailed Sales at Stardock to address this issue for me. I will let you know what happens.
Well, there is no reference to my purchase of Object Desktop in the list of my products I've ordered from Stardock, so thus I have no serial number for that either. I'm going to try to do it through SDC and see if that works. That's the last time it worked normal. This Impulse is what's messing up. Plus, Impulse keeps saying there's an update for WB, I update it and it still says there's an update available. Anyway that's a seperate issue.
Back when I purchased WB 5.x upgrade I received a serial number for that. Then I purchased Object Desktop and was automatically upgraded to WB 6.x. However, no serial number was given to me for version 6.x Now, I've gotten a new laptop, installed the new Impulse and then went to install WB 6.x and it's prompting me to enter my email and serial. Of course I have the correct email however, I don't have a serial at all. It was never issued, since I was just automatically upgraded
