Hide the word "Start" ?

Would it be possible to provide an option to hide the word "Start" on the Metro screen? Truthfully, it's tacky looking. Obviously we know we're on the "Start" screen. And where it is could be the Clock perhaps. Or just nothing at all. But yes, I really dislike the word "Start" all up in there taking up space. It's gaudy.

We can certainly look into offering an option to hide it.

"tacky" and "gaudy" are opinion words; I don't mind it.

(One of Microsoft's big errors in Windows 8's launch has been not explaining to people that the Start Button and Start Menu are still there, just better, faster, more powerful. If you put your cursor into the lower-left corner of the screen, a thumbnail of the Start screen appears. That's the Start Button. Click it. And if you right-click in that corner, you get a much more powerful "context" menu than in the past.

And, of course, the Start screen is the Start Menu on HGH.)

What about the ability to modify the text, Stardock?

I would also like to see an option to remove "Start" from the start screen. There's absolutely no need for it. But it would be even better if there was an option to replace it with our own text, or have the time appear there instead. It certainly is wasted space at the moment.

Having several options is the best way to go. Something that Microsoft have lost sight of.
