Thanks, Pelaird. That's what I've done so far, but I'd love to see those rounded-corner buttons non-textured -- they seem to be just outlines, though, and the selected taskbar texture shows through. This is especially apparent when the buttons are labeled and the texture of the taskbar beneath competes with the button interior. (I hope that makes sense.) Perhaps I'm missing something. I'd make an example image, but I'm out of time tonight . . . .

Just wanted to send congrats to the devs for Start11 v2. This is a terrific improvement, full of features I'd forgotten I wanted. Great new stuff and beautifully implemented! One enhancement I would love to see is the ability to make the Taskbar textured with the individual taskbar Buttons non-textured. Or perhaps non-transparent. IOW, I'd like smooth buttons on a slightly roughened taskbar. IAC, great work! Allen
UPDATE: A day or two ago, this problem seems to have cleared up on multiple pcs. Taskbar now responds consistently as expected.
Correction: Taskbar activation doesn't occur when pointer is over tasks or icons -- on the left, it only activates when the pointer touches the bottom edge immediately above the Start Button. On the right, it activates wherever the tray extends.
Start11 1.36 - BUG - Auto-Hide taskbar doesn't "rise up" until mouse pointer is over (hidden) content. Win 11 22H2 22621.963 Normally, when you move the mouse pointer to the bottom edge of the screen, the always-hidden taskbar slides up into view. With Start11, the taskbar is unresponsive unless the pointer is along the extreme left or right ends of the bottom edge. To be more precise, if the pointer hit
Thanks -- Great idea. I hadn't even noticed the ICON menu item. I whipped up a custom image. The format is 252 x 124, so regular icons look squashed, but PNG with transparency works, so now it looks like this: Allen
Thanks @basj!
I use groups within Start11 extensively -- they are very helpful for organizing apps on my large screen. When I group apps in Start11, they collapsed view shows a seemingly random selection of the apps it contains. I would expect the collapsed view to show the first apps in the group. This would be helpful, too, as I've gone to some trouble to arrange them in a helpful sequence inside the group. Here's what the collapsed view shows: <img src="https://cdn.
I've relied on Fences for years, but my one problem has been using some folder fences when they're underneath other windows. This solution is perfect, and makes Fences even more indispensable. Kudos!
Thanks, AzDude -- strangely, although it does turn off icon & fence hiding (which I don't want to do), the double-click is still being consumed, so it never gets to DOpus.
I rely on a desktop double-click to activate a new "lister" in Directory Opus (GPsoft). Prior to the latest upgrade, I could turn off Fences' activation trigger. Now I can't find any setting to disable the desktop double-click. I'm using WindowFX 6 also, and it's icon controls are greyed out and deferred to Fences. Essentially, I need to be able to double-click on the desktop and have Fences & WindowFX not act on (or consume) that event. Thanks in advance, Allen</p
Windows seem to go invisible mainly if they're not mostly on top of other windows while dragging. On my nVidia GTX580, they consistently disappear when I drag away from windows lower in the stacking order. Using Tweak7, I turned off "Enable window animations" and "Enable DPI auto-scaling" and this seemed to help -- there's less blinking now, and the disappearing act occurs more predictably. HTH ac
You can have fences visible only when hovered over (which I like better than having to have a master icon in each region). But you can't have one fence on top of another one. Actually, you can put them on top, but only one is on top, so when you hover over an icon on the visible layer beneath, the top layer takes over and you can't access the overlaid icons. There's probably a way to select a fence without a master icon.... I
This is happening to me, too. It seems to be due to Fences Pro pumping tens of thousands of text messages into the debug log file. I haven't found a way to stop it other than to turn off Fences, which is a shame. I tried to submit a ticket on the support site, but it was unable to save any of my reports. So I sent them an email. My fences weren't locked either. XP Pro SP3 6600 cpu.
