Fences 4.0.0.3 - Double-Click desktop can no longer be deactivated.

I rely on a desktop double-click to activate a new "lister" in Directory Opus (GPsoft). Prior to the latest upgrade, I could turn off Fences' activation trigger. Now I can't find any setting to disable the desktop double-click. I'm using WindowFX 6 also, and it's icon controls are greyed out and deferred to Fences.

Essentially, I need to be able to double-click on the desktop and have Fences & WindowFX not act on (or consume) that event.

Thanks in advance,

Allen

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

In that version of Fences if you go to the Quick Hide in the app and un check enable

doe that work for your issue .

Thanks, AzDude -- strangely, although it does turn off icon & fence hiding (which I don't want to do), the double-click is still being consumed, so it never gets to DOpus.

Is this option to disable the <double click to hide icons and fences> available In Fences 5? It is not great for all workflows

I also use Directory Opus (by GP Software). Is there a way to reassign the trigger (i.e., not left double-click desktop) to have Fences "Vanish"? This is rather restrictive. I also plan to ask the same question of GP Software.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I don't use Directory Opus, but, is there a conflict on double-click desktop between Fences and DO?

Thank you.

My apologies for the late reply. For some reason I did not get a notification on the post.

Yes. There is a conflict. Both software uses desktop double-click (if enabled) to execute something. However, neither Fences nor Directory Opus allow assigning an alternative.

I got respond from Dev, unfortunately, there isn't an alternative to double clicking and are not planning to add one.

Thank you,
