BoR65, WinXP will likely solve most of your problem. The issue lies in that WinME manages memory poorly. Regardless of how much RAM you have, your "resources" will still drop at the same rate, since that term refers to your System and GDI heaps, not your RAM (per se). The quickest and easiest way to solve this problem is to limit the number of extraneous (and often useless) programs that start up as Windows starts and then run in the background, doing essentially nothing. <

I'm sure this has been discussed on here, but I missed it apparently.... Is there a resource for creating skins using the new UIS3 skin format? I know it won't ship until later, assumedly with WB3.1, but I'd like to go ahead and start getting my feet wet with it. Maybe that's the problem. Some of the skins I've been trying might not have full support for *every* element, and I'm probably seeing that more obviously in contrast to the native Luna themes. One thing I've noticed with every WB skin, however, is that it still seems to be unable to skin scrollbars on certain apps. This is most evident in IE 6, OE 6, and the left pane of Explorer windows (the task pane). XP's Luna skins all of these, but even new WB skins, like Apartment, don't. I know

Really? That's great! I'm glad to see that the new drivers will fix some of the old WB/DX/FX problems. I've had WinFX and some of the DX/WB features disabled on my PC for awhile due to weirdness with the 12.41 drivers. I haven't tried my 14.70 drivers with the OD stuff yet. Anyone know how stable the 14.70 drivers are on WinXP RC1, most especially in how well they handle the OD stuff? (If it matters, I have a GeForce2 64MB Pro card)
