Could this have to do with the fact that the Java rendering for ie9 x64 is broken?
Not likely, since my system (all my systems) are 32-bit and as previously reported, I have the problem too.

I'm wondering how one can re-install any/all of the Object Desktop programs after a reformat if your license has expired? Since you cannot download anything using Impulse, how is this done... or can it be done? IF it can be done, I would appreciate a step-by-step guide. :) TIA
I am experiencing the same problem. Deskscapes will not download. I have a fully licenced and valid copy of ObjectDesktop Ultimate. I've tried using the "Reset Data" suggestion w/ reboot. I've uninstalled Deskscapes via Impulse w/ reboot. I've tried to restore my archived copy which failed. Trying to update from Deskscapes (available), I get the infamous error: "The beta of the application you are attempting to download/register is not available." Specs:

Even though this probem was existent before I upgraded to the 190.62 drivers, I am game to installing an earlier version. I checked Nvidia's archived drivers and found the 186.18 WHQL set... downloading now. THANKS! [e digicons][/e]
Regarding the cpu levels, did this problem suddenly happen when you installed Deskscapes 2.9, or did it happen before then?
It happened before the installation of Deskscapes 2.9... about 1 1/2 months ago. I am not suggesting it is Stardock/ObjectDesktop related. But since many here are knowledgeable re: video, e.g., photoshop, gaming, etc., I thought someone would have an idea of what might be causing the general slowd
I just updated to v2.91[b] via Impulse. When I go to "Desktop/Personalize/Desktop Background" the DeskScapes items is no longer displayed in the list. I can use the "Run" option in Impulse for DeskScapes to use the dream files. They are located in: C:\Users\username\Documents\Stardock\Dreams. How can I get DeskScapes back into the Background list? Xiandi, Sorry, but apparently my question wasn't phrased correctly. What I want to know is WHERE in SKS 6 one can set such parameters as the rollup height, etc. I hope what I'm wanting to know is a bit clearer now. THANKS!
In SKS Pro 6.x, where is the section where you can add/modify the "rollup" feature? I can't seem to locate it.
Well, I wanted to get back to you to let you know that I finally was successful in converting my favorite old cursor to a CursorFX theme. It took quite a bit of trial & error fooling around with formats to get things right, but it all worked out just dandy. Thanks for your getting me on the right track. [e digicons]B)[/e]

1) Is it possible to take a Windows cursor (theme) and convert it to a CursorFX theme? 2) How is this done, assuming the answer to #1 is a "Yes"? The Windows cursor that I want to convert consists of 4 animated (.ani) files and the rest standard (.cur) files. The reason for wanting to do this is so I can take advantage of the Options available in CursorFX, e.g., shadow, sounds, trails, sizing, etc. THANKS
Thanks! Never thought to look in "Settings"..... I rarely go there so I don't have a clue how that option got unchecked. Working now after enabling it.
When I run WindowBlinds (v. 6.30.100) on my Vista (32-bit) system, the Notification Area icon isn't displayed. Any suggestions on how to try and get it back? And no, it isn't "hidden".
I know I posted this before but it doesn't seem to exist any longer. I'm looking for a source to download a wallpaper file as shown in the screenshot below. It was implied to be included in the Vista wallpaper pack on Wincustomize. There were many that were similar in that pack but the actual one I'm looking for was not included. Thanks for any help in providing a link. <img src="http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/8105/blackauroracp0.gif" alt="" width="200" he
Can someone point me to where I can download a copy of this wallpaper? I've found many similar but not this exact one. My own search has turned up blank.
Thanks! I went ahead and purchased CursorFX Plus since Stardock offered one of those "can't refuse" deals to previous owners of CursorXP. BTW, it works great in Vista (32-bit); no problems whatsoever. It took a little experimentation to figure out how to add my CursorXP themes (just double-click on the file). Nice to be able to choose different cursors again. :CONGRAT:
SDC v. 2.52.516 Build 165 No, I have not purchased CFX. I wanted to try the free version before committing to the Plus version. :D
I'm a long-time customer of Stardock having purchased ObjectDesktop, CursorXP, etc., etc., and have been using Stardock Central for years. My problem is that I do not see CursorFX in SD under Misc or anywhere else. I did read one post here about refreshing an item in the Options/Tools? but that didn't help either. I'm running the latest version of SD. I would prefer to download/install CursorFX via SD rather than downloading it and installing it as a free-standing application.
One of the most animated skins has got to be Antares by Treetog. They don't get much better than that, IMHO.. and no offense toward anyone else's offerings, either prior to Antares or afterward.
What's the file extension of the file you downloaded? If it is a ".zip" file, if you open it, does it contain a ".wba" file? If so, extract the ".wba" file to another folder and then install it. If it is a ".zip" file and you open it, does it have a long list of files? If so, simply rename the extension from ".zip" to ".wba" and then install it.
In the new WB configuration window, which btw I really like, there is an item on the menu on the left: "Add visual styles". Is this the same thing as the item under "Skin Options" menu, "Install skin from disk"? If not, what does it do? Since the WindowBlinds development crew are making significant changes to the GUI, may I suggest that they also include a "Help" section? It is sorely needed and would help new users.
You can get the remaining items in the System Information section to display by placing your cursor on the last item and then using the down "arrow" on the keyboard to move through the list.
Some skin authors include more than one size of the included wallpaper, e.g., 1024x768; 1280x1024, etc., which would then display it more than once; each size being displayed separately.
Thanks for the reply and especially the valued information re: contacts for Wincustomize. For me, the matter is closed. I can sympathize with the difficulty in making judgments in regard to the mass of wallpapers you guys must have to peruse. But apparently what you would deem a good Desktop wallpaper is not something shared by me or anyone else who has been using my photo on their Desktop. hehe But that's fine... it's your site and your call. And knowing that our "tastes" are apparentl
