Hey Neil Banfield, I started Stardock Central and checked the "Show pre-release versions" option at the bottom of the screen. It displayed a beta version 3.00a .005 dated 08/25/2006 and gave me the option to Update, which I did. I was running version 3.00.013 dated 06/07/2006. After rebooting my system (it said I had to do that before the update would work), the problem is still the same. I am running the newest drives for my video card. This discussion is very discouraging. I finally broke down and paid for WindowFX, Window Blind, etc. and I am having the same problems with have been reported since August 2006 when this whole thread was started. I do not feel hopeful for an resolution anytime soon
