Generally it would be nice if widgets would be proxy aware. Currently I have a solution for this, but if my office notebook will be changed, I'll be stuck. IconX desktop sometimes hides my tabbed ODP dock in IconX WinCustomize Forums

I run IconX on win2k (mostly to get rid of those ugly icon text backgrounds, but of curse once it's running I'm using all of its features) and in the meanwhile I have a tabbed dock attached to the bottom edge. Time to time it gets lost, probably hidden behind IconX virtual desktop that lays over the real one. (At least this is how I imagine how IconX works.) Hi all, Yesterday I had to revert my XP to an earlier restore point due to some (now irrelevant) failure. The restore point was automatically created on the 28th of july, but I have upgraded my ODP on the 31st to the currently newest version. I have ultramon, but it comes in the picture once you have more screens. In my ultramon settings I have one very wide monitor, so ultramon can't do anything.

Well, I guess after all this discussion you'll first try to decide if you want to block sites or not. If yes, I'd go for the easiest way. Edit your hosts file on your PC. On my win2k box its path is: C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts This is a plain ascii file, edit it with your notepad, and add entries like this: 127.0.0.1 www.google.com 127.0.0.1 images.google.com 127.0.0.1 www.yahoo.com
