Due Recognition

And Thanks!

I just wanted to take a minute and thank a few of the many that have helped me in volumes to overcome issues with my PC and software. I rarily post "help" threads, I usually search for answers everywhere and anywhere I can think of, I have found more than a few answers here and it is time I thanked the people that are resposible.
As it was clearly explained to me in another thread..You dont get any "prize" for helping, and you certainly arent getting paid to do it, you do it out of kindness, compassion or whatever other reason that compels you to actually take the time to explain something to someone and help them out with whatever issue's they are having. You care enough to "waste" the time (as some would see it) to reply to these threads asking for help when you have absolutely no obligation to do so. I think that says alot about character, it is so rare these days to find people to give you the time of day, you are a few that go beyond that and deserve every bit of the recognition and thanks that I personally owe you, so take a bow..LoL..Because of you my machine is a "Lean, Mean, Fast running machine!

Yrag
Corky
Lantec
ChrisTH
Aufisch
Sleeping Dragon
Boss019

And there are more, but for the sake of space I have only listed the people that have helped me the most, without knowing they have. I like to give credit where credit is due and it is due to you!

Take Care,
And once again,
Thanks!
Zero.

Tons of people know alot more than me, but if I see a question and can help without screwing the people all up, it just seems only right...I mean, when I first got here, I knew exactly NOTHING about all of this ObjectDesktop stuff or any other OS customizations. I asked, followed links on Screenshots to find places to get skins, learn about new programs, things like AveDesk, Rainmeter, Konfabulator, Kapsules...loads of others...emailed people asking for help on how to do this or that, and everybody here has been great, they go out of their way to help. If you have the time and some knowledge, help out somebody if they have a question or a problem. Thanx much Double Z for the thread...take care man

Boss019 First off I would like to apologize to you.I should not have said or spoken in the manner I did. Everybody has rights to their opinion and as such I respect that. Now, I agree 100% what Boss019 said. The people here are really super and will go out of their way to help you. I know for sure that there are tons of people who have helped me.

Strongly disagree. you do get prize for helping that is inner satisfaction and peace of mind that you have done something. In addition to mental satisfaction, by helping others you come into the sight of admins and probably get promoted for your contribution to community.

I don't know Xero, you might be right about that but it's certainly not a thought that ever came into my head, helping when I can is just kind of an instinct of sorts, it's just what you do. A "Promotion" would be important to a skinner to reward his talent, this is a skinning site, and I'm not a skinner...I'm learning how a little here and there....but getting promoted for something such as helping someone when you can...at least for a non-skinner...well, what would I get "Promoted" to? Journeyman HelpMan? And no offense intended if something I said struck you that way, I understand what you're saying. There certainly is satisfaction to help.

WOM, that's exactly my point. If you can help, it's just something you do, you're not thinking about a promotion or recognition, you're just trying to help the person with an answer or a solution
