What is this new Window Blinds???

What happen to the power of the old window blinds?

I used window blinds several years back and really liked it. I lost that computer many years ago. I decided to buy a copy of window blinds after all these years. My question is "What happen?". Window Blinds used to be so powerful. You could change menu settings and display styles on the fly. Colors were changed easily. You could make all your icons vanish unless your mouse was over them or you tapped the mouse into a certain corner of the screen. You could change all this on the fly from a menu that popped up whenever you wanted. I cant find any features even remotely close to this in the new window blinds. Am I doing something wrong? Did I miss these features somewhere? Or is window blinds just not what it once was?

I think you have WindowBlinds confused with some other program. I've been a WB user since version 1.x, and I don't recall any of these features.

I've been using WindowBlinds for many years myself and I don't recall any of these features either. I think you are confusing it with another program.

Not Windowblinds for sure, and I have no clue what program could do those things, as he says, "many years ago".

I remember a little program once that could change display settings via a system tray menu, but none of the other things mentioned, not that I personally have need for them anyway. Not Windowblinds though at all.

To me it sounds alot like Litestep.

I think Z71 has the answer. Litestep, AstonShell or one of the other shell replacements. I have coded in a couple of those very abilities into an LS shell, but not Windowblinds. You could probably do that with DX though??
