| Hey i got an idea. Get off your butt and go outside every once in a while. I've heard that, yes, things do change naturally outdoors. |
I've heard you can do that, but that big yellow thing in the sky scares me.

yeah! what is that thing anyway? I be afeared.
(sorry for short language and lower case - broke right arm)
Also sounds need the ability to be turned up louder.
Also need to be able to move the control unit.
didn't automatically come back up. And I couldn't find any settings that seemed to make it do
that. I'm sure I could put a shortcut in my startup folder (probably will) but was wondering
if I was missing something...
I was just thinking... in the future maybe peeps could shop through some library and pick up modules. Beach with surf and gulls. Space with sci fi sounds and maybe a comet and a passing starship or two. (weather object would still work there since a traveler that far away would surely miss the sun) Underwater with ocean fishies and a portal to surface weather... Even a city theme with sounds of peeps talking, kids laughing, lights blinking on and off. Farm could have cows.... Maybe even people could submit their own nature packs.
and loons... gotta have loons somewhere.
Just wondering why not body thought of this incredible idea before

(yesterday was blue sky) so that is also cool. It's been the same wallpaper (which, granted,
is a lovely peaceful pool with weeping willows kind of thingie) with the birdies twittering
away from 9AM this morning until now (almost 4PM my time). So I'm wondering if/when the wallpaper
and sound will change? It's on my work computer, so I don't see it early AM or at night as a
general rule - and if I put it on the home computer it will override my kids' Bionicles
wallpaper and they will have one large and one small fit!

So, just curious...
It is great that it has been added to SDC, but there is no "install" only download. Download takes me to the purchase page. I have entered my serial number in the misc. box for NaturalDesktop and registered it.
For me ND installs to a temp folder in Documents and Settings. No shortcut is ever created for it in the start menu. The sounds die and do not come back, autorun does not work. When I "reinstall" the program it creates another temp file in Documents and settings. I have deleted over 15 temp files of ND from that location.
I noticed on the thumbnails that the (for lack of a better term) control box from the weather object shows 4 different colors, I only get green and that is only after it is first "installed".
Where is the program supposed to install? Should DX be running when I click on the .exe for ND?
I have e-mailed support and received the form letter, I have e-mailed _Marten_ (as asked to do if not working right (earlier post)) and received no response.
What do I have to do to get the program to install and work as intended?
Thanks,
Jeff

I am not sure what happened, but I have two natural desktops running atm. CPU is a little high, from 5-10 each, with dx running and everything else its still is less than half.
hehe... all those birds sure sound happy, now that there are so many of them. I think I will leave them a bit and have a pic nic.....
Now when I right click on the desktop » properties » desktop » browse I am taken to a temp folder again. This path is from 7:31 PM - C:\Documents and Settings\Jeff\Local Settings\Temp\{EDC2831E-81E7-4F09-93DE-B77B8933FE09}\AppData and this path C:\Documents and Settings\Jeff\Local Settings\Temp\{E522E7C3-74F2-400E-B22D-4B3FCF99BF86}\AppData is from 7:39 PM. Each of those temp folders is 33.1 MB and the installed folder is 29.6 MB.
I am giong to reboot and see if another path is created to a 3rd temp folder.

Each time I have booted now I had to give permission to my firewall to allow ND to access the internet. I am wondering why ND is not reusing an existing temp folder. It will add up to some large numbers quickly. I will have to remember to delete the old temp folders before I image "C". At this point I have rebooted twice and 100 MB has been written to the HDD, as well as the 29.6 MB in the program folder.
Is the same thing happening to anyone else?
