Ok guys,

Sry for the delay. I got tied up today at work.
Anyway, Im home now and have got the 1280 version of the theme installed. Take a look for yourself.

Nothing much different then HG's.
I just had to show off the fact that it's on my pc. Now im off to add my twist on it.


Guess all I have to look forward to now is the Blue version!
Oh...and I was qurious about something HG. I know I have asked for alot lately, and boy have you come thur and then some. One more request.. Is there any chance that you could make a smaller version of the system metrix and DX objects to go with the 1024 res? That sure would clean that version up a little. I noticed that it seems a little cluttered with the size there at now.

Csurfside, I made a smaller version of HG's DX-calendar to fit my 1024 Laptop. I don't know whether I would be allowed to send it to you though.

And what is that clock thingy? I don't have that clock thingy!!(on the right side)
where do I get that clock thingy. Is that the sysmetrix skin?

Im not sure. I did speak with Hg last night and he said he would attempt to remake smaller versions of the Widgets and System Metrix for me. Maybe one of them can follow up on this and let us both know.

That "Bettle Clock" or (Clock Thingy) As you called it, is a System Metrix skin. To me it makes the theme. You can retrieve that via HG.
It's top notch in my book.


Oh..I have a question HG. If you look at that blue screenshot above. In the meters widget that you sent to me last. The top one shows my name. Where do I go to change that name. I noticed that it's not my user name. Is it possible for me to change that. If so please explain.

And im jealuous! I wish my screenshot could be featured on wincustomize.

This is your Windows account name and unless you change your account name in your Windows control panel > Accounts, I don't think you can change that.

the only way to change it would be to remove the plugin from that part of the widget .. then manually add the name you want .

I was picking apart your screenshots and was qurious when you did this. Looks like you added a player to it. Looks like you were experimenting, otr was this from the soniqe player?


I think I like the year and weather in that area better but just was qurious about it.

I have a problem
When I am in Lite Step and I reboot my computer it keeps booting back up into the Explorer shell. You can imagine my frustration. Any idea what is wrong. Im guessing a configuration problem. I have not been able to figure it out.

You think double posting is a pain.
Imagine double booting....

Please Help!

I have one final request please.
Could you tell me where to change my theme so I can get the menu items to look white like in this screenshot. Also I would like to have this blue version of the wallpaper and the meters side by side like that.

Csurfside....in LS there should be a shortcut [if not linked to in the theme it'll be in the litestep/utilities folder...or perhaps a popup like...

 *Popup "Set Explorer as Shell" C:\LiteStep\utilities\SetShell.exe "explorer.exe"
 *Popup "Set Litestep as Shell" C:\LiteStep\utilities\SetShell.exe "C:\LiteStep\litestep.exe"

In Exploder you 'should' have 'set litestep as shell' on your desktop....just click it and reboot.

If you boot into the wrong shell...bring up your task manager...and kill the shell process...either Litestep.exe or explorer.exe ....and reload the alternate as a 'new task', et voila...

how you mean shortcut to task bar

HG, I am referring to the icons on the bottom left of the screenshot in post #468. On the slim black bar.
It would be called the task bar in the "exploder"( Jafo) shell. Some programs have an option to "display in task bar." What I want to know is how to add that short cut if the program does not have that option to do so.

 Csurfside ....if what you want is to access the 'set shell' options in Litestep...copy and paste the two popup lines I posted into your theme.rc ....in the appropriate section....or in a popup.rc if it is separate....recycle and you'll always have 'em accessible via popup...

That is a big help!

I have been doing alot of trial and error type discoveries with LS and I am editing all kinds of goodies.
I mean what I said before! I just can't imagine a better theme to use. I tried everything else, but this theme is hands down the best! The only thing I could imagine better then this theme, is just adding more to this one.
HG even updated the top clock on the TSll theme and made it 'switchable' to a "virtual desktop" he even added a little time display to the bottom bar. And I noticed we can type commands straight into the theme via the bottom bar also. However, Im not sure what commands one would issue from there. I just keep discovering all types of little goodies.

I cant believe that I might reformat my PC just to change the system name so that the meters widget will display "Csurfside" instead of "Craig"
Thats when you know your a die hard fan!

Update:

Well HG finished the side by side version of the DX meters widget.
He also showed me how to edit the widget in DX builder so that I could change the name.

This means that I now have everything there is thats related to the Turtle Soup II theme.
Its been a long road. 1st discovering the them, then learning how to use Lite Step, to the long drawn out Doodle Bug search (we found him ). Which led to the private released version of the theme (thanks again Arjun!), then HG had to rebuild the theme cause of a computer crash, with Jafo's help they swithched it to OTS 2, then adjusted the resolution to fit 1024x768, now I have the blue version to boot and its all good!

I guess there is nothing left to say... Mission Accomplished.

I suppose now I will let this thread slowly disappear. Long Live TSII. It will remain on my desktop forever more.
It will be hard but I will start a new thread with a new mission when the time is right.
