the bottom 2 on the left are media progress and volume sliders that are built in to the LS theme... the others are DX objects like a clock , user name and drive meters ...

Goodmorning everyone!

Monday morning's are rough. Atleast I get to look forward to that theme. I Hope it is coming along well. I have class and work all day. I wont be home untill tonight at 10:00pm. Ofcourse I will keep checking the forum every 5 min like I have been since the permission was given.

What ever will I do with my life once I get this theme....Oh thats right...lol
I get to spend the next year customizing everything else to match it.

I'm 28 and have not been this excited about anything since I was a little boy. My "live in" girlfriend thinks I am just plain ridiculous because I have been hyper lately. You should have 'seen her face' the night I ran downstairs (she having little knowledge of the whole Doodle Bug thing and none about skinning) and I am jumping around saying "Doodle Bug gave HG Eliminator permission to release the Turtle Soup 2 remix to me" She thought I hit my head on something.

Some people will just never get it. But for those of us who do.

hey bud .. it will be a few days yet .. i goofed up the resolution switching settings GRR.. and i have to redo a few things to get it working properly ...at the moment its locked in at 1200x1024... as soon as i get it resizeing properly and trim the graphics size it will be ready ..

I hate to say this, being as impatient as I am.
But, take your time! I dont mind waiting one bit. I waited over 6 months already. I can wait another week or two. No problem!

Last night as I read thruogh this whole thread again for kicks and I noticed he sure was helping me out alot.

Question
With Jafo now on the team. Does this mean when the theme is sent to me it will be completed, meaning sent with the bettle clock and other goodies? I sure would like everything at once. I dont mind wating. Im just qurious ....nope noo wait! It doesnt matter, who am I kiddin, I'll take whatever I can get. lol......Im just anxious. Ok...Im off to class. Keep up the hard work.
Oh yeah, I use 1024x768 screen resolution.

Well...I got a copy of the LS theme from HG_E....and it didn't like my screen res...so while fiddling with it I reset it to OTS2 config...and sent it back for HG_E to sort the res issue.

Other than that, I dunno....but patience, Grasshopper...

hi guys .. i been busy at work with 14 hr days.. so its been slow going ...i have gotten all the widgets and sysmeter rebuilt... i needed a break from the LS theme... add HG_Eliminator@hotmail. com to your msn friends list and il be on sat nite to send them to you...it will be a lil bit yet for the LS theme as i continue to tackle resolution issue...

Well Kona, it's not just the "skin" that I like, it is the entire "theme"
I understand that to you it may seem silly, but hey, this is skinning, your not the first to find it strange! It really depends on your situation. Yes, I have heard the phrase LS is evil. If you read this thread all the way thru then you will see that I have had more then my share of problems with Lite Step. However, I especially like the way that HG_Eliminator has put this particular theme together.

Also, as weird as this may sound, this theme means a little bit more to me. This site is the first site that ever made me feel "welcome," almost like going over to a friends house. Thanks in part to Jafo, HG, and a few others. So this in part feels like a gift that I am receiving. I started off really liking the theme. Then grew to want it more when I was told I couldn't have it. That lead up to the entire Doodle Bug search "We Found Him" and now HG and Jafo are putting in all this extra work, and for what? My appreciation! and thats all I can give them. SOo I do the best I can to show it.

Ok everyone. This is it. The moment of truth! I just recieved "after much anticipation" the theme, widgets and all!

What am I waiting for. Ok time to go install everything and see what happens. I will be back to post once I have officially got it all working. This is the golden moment. The minute you have it. Right before you install it. The best feeling. What an accomplishment. Ok, I cant stand it anymore. Time to set it up. I'll be back.

Kona...the thing about LS is that it is a whole shell....and is highly configurable to anyones whim.

When a theme is complete...eg the recent Mac OSX one....it can have 500 or more files involved, making it a significant effort on the part of the skinner/themer....and generally well worth waiting for.

Feel free to stick with your Explorer....[mediocrity suits you]....and leave the weirdos to their alternate shells....

What a great morning. Well everything is up and running and I couldnt be happier.
Im so pleased. It was so worth the wait. HG was even nice enough to walk me thru some editing to ensure it was working at %100. The beetle clock is one of my fav's by the way. Now I look forward to a day filled with Customizing.

What a great conclusion to this thread.
Everything has happened just as I imagined and now the theme is installed and running fine. What a day. What a 6 months! What a website!

Well Im sure I will be back here to post more. Qestions and all. Plus, I hear there is a WB in the making.
cant wait to get my hands on that. Guess that is where I will focus my attention now.

I still cant believe it's on my PC.

Thanks HG, I knew I could count on you BTW, what else besides LS do you have? Sysmetrix or rainlendar? When it comes to this theme, I'd take anything! Ever since I saw your screenshot way back when.....I've wanted this.......thanks buddy!!Let me know and I'll give you my email(unless you still have it)
