I looked at the theme in question. I can see where the comments originated now. I guess I'm glad I missed it. Who needs more Christian wars.

and jakfly, small minds tend to use small words with little meaning. Sorry you have had that happen, I would hope that children, even Grown children not only knew better but could wrap their minds around the fact that it is only a reflection upon themselves in doing such things

Actually Everyone has the right to give thier piece of mind, but the should not use that negatively. If you dont like something it does'nt mean that you have to leave a bad comment on it.

I understand UzEE & agree, that also applies to the work itself. I mean if someone does not like flowers for example or mushrooms, they should not complain on how much they hate flowers or mushrooms, as artists we want to know about the work itself. So that I understand would be constructive criticism. I do see most people in this community do that very well, they say "I think this needs to be corrected" and the artist appreciates it and corrects it, but no one can or should abuse them no matter the reason. Personally I do not like demons and monsters so I do not even look at them or think or commenting how much I hate demons and abuse them, but I noticed that just because people (and there only a few people) are prejudice against anything Christian they've leave hateful and abusive comments (you can go see actually there are not many religious skins). We all are interested in hearing what people think of the work itself, but their opinions on the subject matter weather it be Christian, pagan or Jewish, is not what is to be commented on, it also comes down to respect.

jakfly, I understand your feelings about it all. Religious matters are quite delicate. People in our society actually kill over religions. Then you have agnostics, Satanic religions, and worse. Then you have hypocrites and critics of those who aren't perfect. All of this makes it very difficult for anyone with faith. Someday...

My take on this is a bit different. While I understand that some comments can hurt, I think that when you decide to make your work available publicly, you must be prepared for criticism, good or bad. If your a movie producer and release a movie, you must be prepared to have some critic totally trash your work. If you are too sensitive and cry when somebody says bad things about your work, I think you should keep it for yourself then. I have received lame comments on some of my stuff, and even if as a moderator here I could delete them, I never did. I just laugh. If I'm personnaly happy with my work, that's all that matters.
