I have being sport fishing in all kind of ways during the last 40 years. During this time I did surf casting fishing, bait casting fishing in salt and fresh watter, fly fishing in salt and fresh water, bill fishing, etc... in more places that i can remember. I am totally addicted, in a terminal stage.

I know that Capt. Craig from this site is also a fishing fanatic and we allready exchange some emails related to that....anyone else have that disease? GO! GO!

I have the disorder! didn't for most of my 40 years, but the last five it's become a passion! nothing like getting out on the water and casting a line in. very relaxing(till the fish byte!).
only disadvantage: no potties!...(big problem if you're not a stander!)

for saltwater, my fishes are the amberjacks, cobias, and white marlins. my dream is to catch a GT, but we don't have them here.

back country: Snooks (my favorite fish), Tarpons and Bonefishes that we also don't have here, but allready cought some in US.

fresh water just one the PeacockBass, the best predator in the world. Last year I stayed for one week in the heart of the Amazon jungle just to get the monster ones. It was one of the best fishing trips of my life.

@ Style

Unlike Jafo, on my 1st fishing trip I managed to hook a bicicle rim. My friends bugged me for months to come on how if I seasoned it well it will taste good >

BTW Renato, that is a beauty you caught there. The only way I ever catch something like that is if I get it at the fish market

well lets see...

Bait fishing is easy. All that is needed is some knowledge of how to cast a line and how to Select what kind of bait to use.

Fly fishing takes years to master well and tying flies takes patience and much skill.

But.. each to his own. Some people dislike fly Fishin.

I went on a fishing boat once, but the sport is not for me. It was too creepy sticking the hook through the fish's eyes, and once I got over that...all I caught was a dang sting ray! I wanted to keep it...but the fish guy on the boat made me throw it back...hehe.
