Has anyone here ever bought only from one car manufacturer?

Not that i am really in the market for cars, but I like them and eventually can see myself with a house (maybe in New Jersey or in Brooklyn) and a few cars for different uses.

I seem to be looking at Nissan right now thought I never thought I would really like Nissan cars even thought they seem to be made good. Nevertheless, here I am thinking about 3 cars for 3 functions and they are all Nissan cars.

The Nissan Maxima (with the moon roof that extends over the front and rear seats)
The Nissan 350Z (Gets good mileage and would be nice to go to work in)
The Infiniti FX35 (because I like it and its an SUV family car with nice ground clearance... and I like to go camping ALLOT)

Yes, I am into looks but mileage and quality is something I like too. I even like the Nissan minivan.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone ever bought a family of cars from one producer and actually liked it (or maybe suffered because of it).

My Father is a Volvo fan. He's had quite a few over the years and never been dissapointed.

I'm a Nissan fan myself. Although I'm more into their ricemobile stuff, like the Skyline, Silvia, 200sx/180sx.
Good company but their parts could be a bit cheaper.

I've only owned Honda cars for the last 15 years. 260,000 miles on my 88 Honda accord and still going strong when I sold it. I own a 2003 Honda Element now, because I needed something a little larger than a compact sedan. I love it.

we buy what we can afford. which translates into "used over ten years".
only thing we don't buy is foriegn make cars, but that's only because we have to have a car we can fix ourselves. and the parts have to be readily available at the local parts stores. so usually ford, chevy ,and dodge.

Most of my cars have been GM.  I *currently* own
1982 Trans Am
1982 Camaro (it's now a race car, though)
1991 Baretta GTZ
2001 S-10
2003 Monte Carlo SS

I have also had a couple Cavaliers and other various cars.

Though the old GM products last forever, I'm not too thrilled with the new ones.  I love my Monte, but the paint and windshield is crap.  It also already has had two recalls.  The intake manifold gasket is leaking and it's only 1 year old.  Unless things *really* change, I won't be buying another GM vehicle even though my brother in law works for them.  It seems like their main goal now is to "get it out of warranty".  The old products last forever, though.  I just don't trust the new ones.

My Mom loves Volvo's, especially for their sfety. I think its the only reason why I would get one. A bunch of Nissans and a Volvo sounds nice.

She likes the Escalade too... go figure.

Hum, the cars I've owned are (from most recent): Chevrolet Venture, Ford Excort, Suzuki Swift, Chevrolet Chavalier, Buick something (I forget - some sort of grey coupe car, hehehe), and before that my first car was some sort of old Pontiac something that I bought for 200$. Grey as well.

If you want to go for safety you should buy yourself a jaguar. (Rob a bank or something )
A family member of me tought the tree would get out of the way... it didn't. If the car wasn't of such a quality, I don't think h got out of it live.

Honda #1 (1990 Accord) lasted 13 years and well over 100,000 miles.
Honda #2 (1996 Odyssey) is going strong - almost up to 60,000 miles (OK, I drive it to take the kids to school, take myself to the train station, then reverse the process in the evening - doesn't rack up the miles real fast but that's OK)
Honda #3 (2003 CRV - replaced the Accord) is awesome.
Car #4, a few years from now, will almost certainly be a Honda.

I own three right now:

1994 850 Sedan
1997 850 Wagon

All really great cars, and they last FOREVER!

I'm a GM man. My first car was a '69 Pontiac Grand Prix. Wish I still had that car. I had various other cars between the late 70's and 2000. Recently I have bought a 2000 Pontiac Montana, a 2001 Pontiac Grand AM GT, and a 2003 Pontiac Montana.
